Hello from the girl whose nails just will not grow. No matter what I do, my nails continue to break and so I finally gave up and started some swatch of some older polishes, despite my nails being short. But I decided to share some festive golden green nail art for St. Patrick’s Day before sharing the other ones. I completely missed Valentine’s Day, nail art, and Mardi Gras nail art which really bummed me out so I decided to do something for St. Patrick’s Day. So let’s check this out.
Normally, I’m off for my university spring break but this year it was a week earlier so I am wearing green to work. I remember last year I was in Atlantic City and completely forgot that it was St. Patrick’s Day day and didn’t wear green and was so embarrassed.
Lately, I really just been wearing plain colors. I wore KBShimmer Sweater Weather for a week and forgot how much I loved it and wearing that green inspired me to do something festive. I changed out my greens for this manicure way too many times. I realized most were KBShimmer so I decided let's make it a full KB mani.
Here are my colors! I originally was going to do a white or silver base, but gold is so festive!
- Gold base: KBShimmer I Can’t De-Cider
- Top green: KBShimmer Let It Beetle
- Darker neon green: KBShimmer Race Against Slime
- Green shimmer: KBShimmer Take a Bough
- Lime green: KBShimmer Lime All Right
I thought about doing some small dots in a darker green around the
waves, but decided to sit on it for a day and see how I felt. I ended up
leaving it as is. I love the shift of the base gold and how it bits of pink and yellow pop out. The green shimmers also have a little shift.
Are you wearing green today?!
