Desert Cactus Nail Art Inspired by Washi Tape

 Press Sample

Way back in May when I received the KBShimmer RV There Yet? collection, she included really pretty washi tape. I have no idea what this is used for but google says scrapbooking. The designs were so gorgeous, so I set one aside to do nail art on. Over three months later, I finally sat down to do it. Yup, this is my life. I have nail art I want to do and just never do it for months.

Here is the Washi Tape which I just loved. I loved the colors and the images. Just so fun and funky.

I knew immediately that I had Stella Chromas that would fit this color palette perfectly. They happened to be from her Summer 2020 Desert Scapes collection. I mean, come on, could this line up any better?! Just look at them!

Here is a list of all the colors and materials:

  • Stella Chroma Cactus Bloom
  • Stella Chroma Desert Turquoise
  • Stella Chroma Hug Me (this has faded from neon to the most gorgeous burnt orange)
  • Gold Morgan Taylor Gilded in Gold
  • Green Duri Monkeying Around
  • Plate Born Pretty Western Memory L002

While the cacti are gold on the washi tape, they simply were not standing out enough for more, so I instead stamped them green with gold accents and I love it that much more! My sun was really easy and quick to do too!

And here it is matte. I can't decide which way I like it more, so I am sharing both! Just love this color palette!

Most of these colors are available at Stella Chroma now!
