Good morning and hello to the start of another week. I feel like March went by very slowly, but we zipped through April. I am okay with this, because I am ready for my semester to be over. This has taught me that I am not cut out to teach an online course. But I am certainly trying! I think I am just tired being glued to my computer and it has certainly affected my blog. At the end of the day, I just don't want to be on my computer. But of course, I am here to share a few products from May's Polish Pickup: Candy Land!

Inspiration & Color Description: A soft, lemony yellow shimmer.
Thoughts: I dig the paleness of this yellow. It's like the pith of the lemon (the white part of the skin) mixed with the yellow of the lemon. It has a nice silver shimmer.

Lemon Fizz Mani/Pedi Soak
Cost & Cap: $5 for 8 of the bath balls, cap of 20
Scent: Lemongrass
Thoughts: This has a nice, bright scent! For such a small product, it was so refreshing and really packs a punch. I used this as a pedi bath and my feet felt really nice. There was some nice fizzing as well.

Name: Spun Sugar Sugar Scrub

Scent: Spun
Sugar Hand & Body Scrub evokes memories of those sweet summer days
at the fair. This scent starts with sugary notes of raspberry cotton
candy and tart lemon and is anchored together with undertones of musk
and caramel. Don’t let the name fool you, this is no fluffy scent. Deep
and complex, Spun Sugar will make strangers stop and ask what you are
wearing! If you love our Pink Sugar scent, this is an updated version
that I am sure you will love!
Thoughts: It definitely is a more sophisticated Pink Sugar scent. It really is quite similar to my nose with just a bit more musk. I love the soft pastel coloring of this one!

Fruit Slices Yummy Yummy: 3 coats plus top coat, then matte

Inspiration & Color Description: I love the type of gummy candy that is slightly
firm, brightly colored and covered in crunchy sugar crystals.
Especially fruit slices, yummy, yummy! Give me all the lime, cherry,
orange, and other fruit-flavored treats, please! Fruit
Slices, Yummy Yummy is a bright, coral-colored jelly polish accented by
color-shifting flakes. These flakes shift from a fiery orange to lemon
yellow and lime green. This coral shade can lean more pink or orange
depending on the lighting, complementing many skin tones. Micro
holographic flakes add a hint of sparkle to this juicy shade.
Thoughts: I am a huge fan of coral polishes and of course, I love the addition of the flakes in this base. I feel like in person, there were much more shades of green in the flakes than my photos captured. I think the amount of pink or orange that pulls out will depend on your base coat. I love it!
Normally I don't pose my polishes with food, but I ACTUALLY had fruit slices!!! LOLLL. Now the kind that inspired Christy was a paler color than mine but I just had to put them together. The flakes in the polish are like the colors of the fruit slices!

Inspiration & Color Description:
Candy
sprinkles (picture below); the name 'Skip to the Sweet Shop' was taken
from "I Want Candy", a song by MC Pee Pants from the Aqua Teen Hunger
Force episode "MC Pee Pants".'Skip to the
Sweet Shop' is a neon purple base filled with bright pink shifting
iridescent flakes, iridescent shifting micro glitters, and holographic
accents.
Thoughts: So full disclosure: I am not a purple polish fan. But oh my, this is one that I love. I definitely did not want to take it off. The bright pink flakes and shimmer really came together to create a gorgeous polish.

Sweet Tart Emulsified Sugar Scrub

Scent: Our creamy, moisturizing scrub is scented with a sweet and sour scent reminiscent of color Sweet Tarts candies!
Thoughts: Love the sugar scrub formula, as always. And this is an excellent sweet scent, but light enough that it isn't sickening. I definitely want more of this scent!

Sugar Mountain: 3 thin coats plus top coat.
Cost & Cap: $12 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Inspired by Neil Young’s song called Sugar Mountain. This smooth
multichrome polish covers most of the colors of the rainbow. A base of
vivid purple is highlighted by shifts of gold to red to magenta. Green
peeks out at extreme angles.
Thoughts: This is a lovely shimmery multichrome. It almost looks like there's sparkly bits of blue flecks in it because it's so shimmery. The gold and red came to say hello very easily. It's a lovely shifty polish!
