Christmas Tree Farm Nail Art

Press Sample

I have another holiday look that isn't so in-your-face festive. Have you ever been to a Christmas tree farm? I imagine it to be beautiful! I feel like there's nothing more cozy or festive than log cabins in the winter in a forest. That's what inspired my very simple look today!

The minute I got this new plate from Born Pretty, I knew this tree image would be the first I used. This plate has a nice mixture of Christmas and winter images. Click the photo below for a closer look of the plate. Unfortunately, this plate is no longer on the site.

I do have to mention, I was a little bummed with my order this round. I ordered October 30 and it did not arrive until December 4. Before this order, I was getting packages in 2 weeks, so now it's back to 6 weeks. Then, 3 of the plates were not in my press sample order because they sold out. I did this mani on December 15 and this plate is also sold out/not available on their site. Not sure what's going on there. In fact, of the order I did receive, 2/3 items are not available so I feel bad even showing it. And like I said, they didn't even send 3 of the plates I ordered.

I imagined a gradient effect of greens for the trees. Trees are multi-dimensional with a bunch of green shades, so I mixed together three greens on the stamping plate. I really wanted the base to be a neutral instead of a sky blue or something. Originally I chose a creme and then decided the flakes in Stella Chroma Cozy Sweather reminded me of snow!

I went super simple with the color base as I mentioned above. The holo flecks totally remind me of snow and I love how they pop with the negative spacing of some of the trees. The colors are,
  • Base: Stella Chroma Cozy Sweater
  • Girly Bits greens: Let Love Grow, It's Near Leaf Fall, You Can't Handle the Spruce

I wore it shiny for one day. The greens and the holo flecks definitely pop more with top coat, but I can't decide which I love more!

I love how this plate looks! I plan on doing another look with it next week. Again, this is more abstract holiday but I really love it! I just wish this plate were available for you to purchase. Luckily all the polish colors are!
