Birch Tree Nail Art Stamping

Press Sample

Hello all! I'm back after a little blogging break. I had to post so many posts in such a short time due to Black Friday and all that I burnt out a little. I'm going to take it easy for December and right now, I'll just be doing festive nail art. I shared the KBShimmer License to Chill collection last week and it is super fun. I ended my swatches with the color I felt like wearing which was I'm sMitten. Then of course, I added art!

So I found this unused plate and I think I was holding on to it to use during the fall or winter months. Well, fall is over lol so I'm using it for winter.  The plate is from Born Pretty and retails for $2.59. There are so many ways you could use this plate! I like the idea of layering plates and this one encapsulates all the seasons with leaves, snow, and flowers!

As I mentioned above, I ended swatching with KBShimmer I'm sMitten because it's what I felt like wearing. I liked the idea of a fall to winter transitional manicure with the pale lavender color. The leaves of birch trees are a sort of yellow-y green color, so I chose to first stamp falling leaves in a yellow color. I actually mixed Girly Bits Saffron, Saffroff and Butternut Leave Me to create some depth with the leaves. It's hard to see, but there is a mix of dark and light yellow.

Since birch trees are white in the winter, I used a plain white stamping polish to stamp over the leaves. It's so cute!! I added matte top coat because it's just a soft and delicate look and I love it. I actually took these photos five days after I did the art AND I cooked/prepped Thanksgiving dinner. I get great wear with KBShimmer.

I do like soft and simplistic feels of this look. I definitely plan to use this plate more often. There's so many ways to use it! The color patterns go on for ages. I'm sMitten is available now!

    1. Hi there. If you read my post, it says where it is from and linked. But this post is a year old, and Born Pretty retires plates pretty quickly, so it looks like it is no longer available. You might be able to find other plates on that site with branches and leaves though.
