Press Sample
So this is a sort of press sample. Shannon at Pahlish gave me this at Polish Con to try out. She is supporting this local brand, which I think is awesome. I previewed it here in my Polish Con coverage, but now, I'm giving you a full review! As someone who has to take care of her nails, cuticle care is really important so I was happy to try this out.

First of all, check out those ingredients. There's 5. I love when I can count the amount of ingredients. This product is beeswax based, so it is not vegan, but since I am not vegan, that's okay for me.

It smells herbal and natural. The rosemary and lavender oils take away from the honey beeswax scent, and it sort of smells like a non-lemon Burt's Bees cuticle balm. I gather people with scent sensitivities will like this product, since it isn't artificial.

Here were my nails without polish (don't judge too hard). I don't have terrible cuticles, but you can see that nasty hangnail by my pinky, so I was hoping it would help heal that up.
Tru Bee Cuticle Balm |
It's a balm consistency so it is oily (hello, look at the ingredients!). While this wouldn't be good between swatches, it was great after swatching 8 microglitters where my hands were like GIVE ME MOISTURE!! This is how it looks as you put it on, without rubbing it in.

This is after working it in for like 3-5 minutes. It absorbed really well actually! My pinky looks better today and I should have taken a picture, but it's a nice result.

Look at how little I used. Seriously, this will last me a LOOOONG time. At $5 for 8 oz. this is a great bang for your buck! If you check out the website, this also is listed as a balm. As a nail polish lover, I used it as a cuticle balm, but it's apparently so much more than that! They list is as a balm that can oil wood, condition leather, take squeaks out of drawers, and more!

This seems really great! I love stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to find other alternatives to nail care. Plus, it's supporting a small business!

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a good balm and for the price, it's not high risk!
DeleteAmazing review. Full of great details and info.
ReplyDeleteThanks. That was my aim!
DeleteI love when ingredients are only a few and they are all natural! Gotta check this balm to alternate with Burt Bee's maybe!
ReplyDeleteExactly. We can see and understand exactly what each ingredient is.
