Beauty Big Bang Chameleon Flakes Magic Effect Review

Press Sample

I feel like the current rage right now are these awesome holo, mulithcrome, and flake powders that people use with gel polish! Well, a new-to-me beauty store, Beauty Big Bang, reached out to me to test their products, so I decided to let's have a go with these flakes, but guess what, USE REGULAR NAIL LACQUER! Ok, let's go!

First up, let's talk about BeautyBigBang. They are a new store, based out of Asia, with a load of makeup and nail art items. The selection is relatively small right now, but I am positive they will build up your inventory.

I know many are concerned about travel time with these shops, as some take 2-3 months. Well, I ordered on April 20. I received tracking on April 25. I received the product May 4th. So as you can see, that was a total of 2 weeks since ordering, which I find to be great for overseas. I hope this wasn't a one time fluke!

Ok, on to the actual product. I ordered the Chameleon Flakes in 1C. I loved the copper red base to these flakes. If you head to the link, you'll see the 6 color variations. These retail for $5.69 but are on sale for $3.99 (and I have a coupon for you!). The set comes with the applicator brush.

It comes enclosed so there is no spillage. It also came in another bag, so it's totally protected.

So these look fun and rainbow-y at first glance. I thought I got the wrong product and it would be pastels. Boy, was I wrong!

Is the drool off the floor?!!? I'll give you a minute.

I did three coats of this deep purple jelly. On the third coat, I let it dry for abut 5 minutes, but while it was still tacky, I dipped the applicator brush into the pot and pressed it on my nail. OH EM GEE. So first, if you want more flakes, you light press. If you want them more crushed to to appear smoother, then rub it in. I love the chunky look.

Remember, I did not use gel! I top coated this with two coats of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze. My nails are entirely smooth and nothing is sticking up! I know you're concerned with that giant shard on my middle nail. But nope, I feel nothing!

I see red, orange, yellow, and green. It's beautiful. Here are pictures outside in the clouds.

Here it is indoors. Guys, I'm right now staring at my nails (I'm still wearing these). I did my 4 nails and fully intended on removing them. Then, after I picked up my mouth off the floor, I did my whole mani!

If you loved these flakes, make sure you use Mich10 for 10% off your order! I'll be back with two other products from this company. But I really love these flakes and definitely would order other colors. I'm also thinking of stamping over these today, so I'll share that tomorrow.

  3. What a fun way to use flakies. I'm with Nichole though, I am sooo messy with lose glitter or anything like it.

    1. I put a paper towel under my nails and cleanup was easy. Otherwise, I would have made a mess

  5. I'm glad to hear another person with quick shipping! I hate waiting 3 months! And yes, I remember your post with regular lacquer! I just don't use gel out of pure laziness, so I'm glad this was successful for both of us@
