Alter Ego is one of my favorite indie brands because the shimmer matte polishes are really classic yet special. It is like getting two polishes in one; you can leave the polish matte or use a top coat for the most incredible shimmer. Cynthia, the creative maker behind these polishes, presents you with the Gloss48 Duo that includes one of my favorite Alter Egos ever (although I feel like I say that every time I post an Alter Ego!!).

This duo which will be released in one week, on October 29th, features two new polishes in the Alter Ego collection with that classic shine.

Rows her Boat: 2 coats. This blue-green color is absolutely gorgeous. I can't even express how much more amazing this polish is in person. It glows and the gold shimmer accents the blue. Cynthia describes this polish as "Streams and rivers are not the bright blue like the ocean, they are more blue-green like the base color. Because of that, the sun reflects the gold flecks of color instead of the silver specks that is seen on the ocean." She is so dead on with this description. This dries to a matte finish. I've showed you without top coat and then one coat of Alter Ego She Shines top coat.

Sold On Gold: 2 coats. This is a bright yellow gold polish that again dries to a matte finish. I love that it is not the classic gold, and the gold shimmer in the brighter gold polish makes it so unique. This polish is described as "Never mind silver and platinum, this woman is Sold on Gold! She loves the vivid brilliance of the eye catching shine whether it is shiny, brushed or matte, and always carries a jewelers loupe to inspect a potential addition to her stash for the required stamp."  I've showed you without top coat and then one coat of Alter Ego She Shines top coat.
