Beauty Big Bang Chameleon Flakies

Press Sample

I feel like I could never get enough of these chameleon flakies. Give them to me in all the colors ever! I've been really feeling these over lighter colors, but for this round, I reverted back to a darker color and did a side by side so you can choose!

Here's how the package arrives. It was actually capped so tight, I had to wrap a rubber band around it to get it open. But at least no spillage. It was in another protective baggie and came with two applicators. This is color 8C.

So I decided to do these flakes over both black and beige. The beige is Zoya Jack, from the new Sunshine collection. The black is KBShimmer Eclipse. While the polishes were tacky, I simply rubbed on the flakes. The more you rub, the finer the particles will become.

Even inside, you can see the shifts in the colors. This one is a magenta to orange and gold. It's clearly much more visible over the black base.

These flakes also have holo shards, so here they are in direct sunlight. So gorgeous!

And of course, in the shade. You can see the flashes of purple and blue. Ugh, I love these so!

I just love these flakies. I prefer this particular color over the black, but I love how versatile these are. I almost stamped over these, but just couldn't! So many pretty colors.

The Mermaid Chameleon Flakes retail for $4.99. This is the color 8C but I've shared a few of them with you. I need to get the 5 I'm missing. Don't forget about my discount code, MICH10 for 10% off.

  2. These are beautiful! I usually like flakies over dark colors best, but I am really digging that beige!

  3. Great info on applying the flakies, that applying breaks up the flakies. I wonder if you can get it into a fine powder/pigment look?

  4. I love how they look the most over the darker color. They look a little bit messy to deal with, but I like the end result.

  5. Great side by side comparison. Personally I prefer them over darker colours, though it's super pretty over white x
