Good day! Today I'm sharing a new collection from Lollipop POsse Lacquer inspired by the new album from FKA Twigs, Magdalene. Although I have not listened to the album, I do love a cohesive collection with a solid inspiration. Some of the colors in this collection are moody and dark and some are perfect to ring in spring, so let's take a look at them!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Creature of Desire, Late Winter/Spring 2020

Aching - $12. 3 coats but 2 coats was honestly enough. A mulberry crelly based accented with a turquoise, gold, and pink shifting shimmer.“Silent are my heart strings, icy is my body heat. Lonely is my hoping, empty is my sweet thing. Aching is my laughter.” -FKA Twigs, “Daybed.”

The shimmer in this and the next color, All I Do, is so vibrant and glowy. It posts off my nails. You can really see the pink to turquoise shifting shimmer!

All I Do - $12. 3 coats. A cyan crelly based filled with shimmer that shifts between shades of turquoise, gold, purple, and pink. “Didn’t I do it for you? Why don’t I do it for you? Why won’t you do it for me, when all I do is for you?” -FKA Twigs, “Cellophane”

This is one of my favorites of the collections. It is so bright, it is almost like a neon. I love that glowy shimmer and how this one jumps pops off the nail. It is awesome.

Apples, Cherries: $12. 3 coats. A candy apple red jelly, packed full of iridescent flakes that shift between hot pink, red, and gold. “Apples, cherries, pain. Breathe in, breathe out, pain. No, no, novocaine. Still maintain my grace. How come the more you have, the more that people want from you?” -FKA Twigs, “Home With You”

This is another favorite. The iridescent flakes are gorgeous against the red base. Red polishes always show VNL on me, but you can probably get away with 2 coats. So many pretty flakes.

Deep River - $12. 2 coats. A navy blue base filled with purple, magenta, and gold multichrome pigment and red, gold, and green shifting Aurora shimmer. “Day three, take me to a deep river. Steal a kiss when I’m lost in the mist.” -FKA Twigs, “Holy Terrain”

There's really so much shifting in this. This is one of those moody, wintry colors. But hey, it did snow for like half the country on Monday!Nice opaque formula.

Onyx: $10. 2 coats. A deeply pigmented, pitch black matte. “When I visualize, all I see is black (onyx). Ground me to the floor, just a little more (get it, onyx).” -FKA Twigs, “Home With You”

This is one sexy color! I did not wear base coat, but if I wore it again, I would do a ridge filling base coat if you have ridges like me. It was basically a one coater, but I did two because of my ridges.

The Lies You Tell - $12. 3 coats. A pale gray crelly accented with linear holographic pigment and luminescent blue to purple shifting iridescent flakes. “When the lights are on, I know you. See you’re gray from all the lies you tell.” -FKA Twigs, “Fallen Alien”

This is my absolute favorite of the collection. There is some VNL on me, but it was really only noticeable in photos. I just love how the flakes look in the pale grey. I can see myself wearing this all year long.

Unoccupied History - $12. 2 coats. A green to blue to purple multichrome base filled with blue, green, and purple shifting iridescent flakes and holographic microflakes. “A woman’s war. Unoccupied history.” -FKA Twigs, “Mary Magdalene”

There's so much going on in this polish, but since it is all the same tones, it all works together. Such a lovely forest green base and it sort of transforms due to the pigment and shimmer.
