St Patrick's Day Art: Green Gradient with Gold Flakes |
I had already had on two coats of Girly Bits Let Love Grow which I did this past Saturday. Then on Tuesday, I decided to give the many some oomph. I did a very thin coat of it just for some evenness.
I added a stripe of Let Love Grow and Jessica Cosmetics Flower Crown, a pastel but darker green on a make up sponge. This was the perfect gradient combo! It's dark enough but still an overall pastel look and I love it!
Then I went all out and I pulled out two OLD gold flake top coat. I used one coat of SOPI (aww remember when Sephora sold nail polish?!) It's Real! 18K gold top coat. This one is finer flakes. Then I used OPI The Man With the Golden Gun 18K top coat. These flakes are larger and appear more yellow gold because of the size. These were originally released in 2012.

I can't remember the last time I used these gold top coats and they were still in great condition. They were always sparse and required digging, but I am glad they didn't dry up! I saw I still have the white gold version so I'll have to whip it out soon. I love them! I'm still rocking this mani!

I need to figure out how to adjust the colors on my iPhone screen. Your beautiful gradient looks aqua, like Tiffany blue, rather than green. But either way, I love the pairing with gold flakes

ReplyDeleteThe gold flakies are stunning! I love it over the pop of mint!
ReplyDeleteThis is so reminiscent of Tiffany blue on my screen. I love that you added the gold flakes. I remember how hot that polish was and it's still hot.
ReplyDeleteYes the flakes go well with that lovely gradient
ReplyDeleteI really love the look of gold flakies. It's been a long time since I've worn mine as well!
ReplyDeleteI miss Sephora by OPI (and Formula X as well). Those gold flakies are everything!
