Lots of NOLA Polishes today from Alter Ego! We've got the Krewe Collection (these are groups who hosts the parades and each krewe represents different foundations, ethics, etc.), special editions, VIP, and more! I've identified each polish, so read carefully! There's lots of polishes, so I won't delay. Let's check them out and their super creative inspirations!

KREWE COLLECTION
Krewe of Petronius: 3 coats but 2 was good enough. I did a third thinking maybe it would need more for the lighter end of the thermal, but it made no difference.
This is a thermal because they said one of the reasons they started this one was to give men a chance to cross dress. Lol, I did not know this! This is a magenta to deep purple thermal with a bit of shimmer. I had no issues with this one shifting! The sun popped out for just this color and left, so I added the sun pics in this!

Krewe of Southdown: 3 coats.
They do the flambeaux parade so I tried to mimic the torches they carry in that. There are a few krewes that light torches and do awesome flame dances, and this polish definitely reminds me of a the lighter color of flames. It's like a neon coral with a pretty shimmer and there's a slight copper shift.

Krewe of Eve: 3 coats.
This krewe started as a ladies only krewe and this made me immediately think of the Garden of Eden, why it is the green base it is. I really love the thought and creativity Cynthia put into her polishes. They really go with the inspiration and aren't just random colors! This is a luscious green shimmer. It's stunning. Might be one of my favorites!

Krewe of Isis: 3 coats, would be gorgeous over black.
This krewe started as a ladies only krewe, made me think of the girly color it is. This one is a cool pink with a heavy blue to pink to purple shifting shimmer. That is why it would be awesome over black. It's a little sheer on my opaque nails, but that happens!

Muddy Mississippi: 2 coats.
Show special. This one does have a little bit of UBS (ugly bottle syndrome) but it comes out perfectly normal. Just wanted to warn you. Cynthia says she wanted to
capture the mud color as I see it but also tried to give it a shimmer to depict the clay and/or sand that may be in it. This is certainly a muddy brown color with a slight pink shimmer. Nice formula.

Zulu Krewe: 3 coats plus top coat.
VIP polish. The Zulu Krewe parade is probably one of the most looked forward to parades during Mardi Gras.
This particular krewe had lots of photos with gold, green & purple on their float so Cynthia went with those colors. The iridescent flakes shift from green to purple. It's a little sheer on my nails but you can layer it.

The City That Care Forgot: 3 coats plus top coat.
Exclusive.
Research said that saying came about in the 30s before a/c. It would get
so hot & sultry everywhere nobody wanted to move, to do anything
with the heat, so they forgot to care about whatever might have been
important. Hey, the more you know! I had no idea about that! Anywho, this polish is wham bam, thank you ma'am! It's so much more neon in person! It's a HOT eye-searing yellow with blue shimmer and gorgeous.

Hand Grenade: 3 coats.
Limited Exclusive. This is based off the popular alcoholic drink that lines Bourbon Street and you guessed it, it's neon green! This is perfect for it! Oh man, this is another eye-searing neon and it's loaded with silver shimmer. Wear this color proud!
