I cannot believe today is Fat Tuesday, the end of Mardi Gras! I love Louisiana and I was able to go to Mardi Gras in 2011. I believe it's time I go again! Well it hit me yesterday that today was Mardi Gras and I was so sad I didn't do any nail art. Luckily, I was swatching polishes for Polish Con, which happens to be in NOLA on August 6th. I ended on swatching some very Mardi Gras-themed Turtle Tootsies and decided to mix a bunch together to make a fun skittle manicure.

So these Turtle Tootsies are part of a Mardi Gras-themed collection that will debut at Polish Con. I'll have a full post in a few weeks, but I had to post this manicure today for Mardi Gras.

Quick low down: Purple is Bayou a Polish, Green is Jazzin It Up In the Mississippi, and the glitter is Festooning It Up (layered over black). I simply added three coats of the holos as I have very opaque visible nail line. I then put two coats of the glitter over a black creme. I topped it all with one coat of top coat and boom, quick and festive nails!
