Aurora Lacquers has been doing a peacock theme for Polish Con and I'm digging it. It started with the Road to Polish Con polish and now there's an entire collection of peacock polishes! I just went to the Bronx Zoo last week and they let peacocks roam free around the zoo. They were flopping everywhere and some had their gorgeous feathers exposed. They are always fun to look at. Those feather patterns are just unique!
Limited Edition Show Collection – The Ostentatious Collection ($12 each or $30 for the whole set). These will be available on the Aurora Lacquer website).
A
group of peacock is called an ostentation; who knew! Reminiscent of the
gorgeous colors found in the peacock feather, this jewel-toned trio is
vibrantly beautiful and over-the-top majestic. The peacock feather is a
staple of the masquerade ball and this limited edition collection should
be too.
Without Feather Ado: 3 coats.
A teal polish with turquoise metallic flakies. This is my favorite of the Ostentatious collection. The color and the finish make it like a turquoise teal foil. I just love this color. It's bright and summery and perfect!

The Nest Best Thing: 2 coats. A blue polish with blue metallic flakies. It's actually brighter in person. This would be an awesome gradient with Without Feather Ado (makes mental note to do this!). It's a rich cobalt color and the flakies give it that extrea oomph.

Fancy as Flock: 3 coats. A purple polish with blue sparkle and purple metallic flakies. Of course there had to be a purple to complete this peacock duo! This one is more dimensional and less of a foil like the other too. You can really see the blue sparkle in the blue base. Stunning.

All Eyes on Me: 2 for short. 3 for me.
VIP.
A deep fuchsia
polish with purple shimmer and turquoise/blue sparkle. As mesmerizing
as the eyes on a peacock feather! Overpour will be sold at show for $12. I am sharing swatches because there is the ability to buy this even if you didn't get VIP and trust me, you'll want to. Of course, I won't have any ideas how much overpour there will be, but probably not much. This one just glows on my nails. The shimmer and sparkles make a great combination.

No Cock, No Fowl: 3 coats.
Show Exclusive. ($12 each)
A
color shifting glitter polish that moves from teal to blue to purple
with extra purple and turquoise flakies that packs all the glory and
mystery of the peacock feather! I wish I had sunlight for all these polishes but especially this shifter. The shift is so much stronger in person. Despite it being a glitter, this is it without top coat and it's very smooth. I love that this is all of the colors of the peacock feathers in one!

Just for fun, I took this photo of a peacock waiting to get his photos from the photo booth. LOL
I've listed the prices in each swatch. These will debut on April 6th at Polish Con all the color besides All Eyes on Me will be on the
Fairy Site for $12 each. The fairy site will be finalized probably the week of the con, so stay tuned. I loved the theme of these colors and I think Aurora Lacquer has done a great job with her chosen theme.

What a gorgeous collection! Difficult to pick a fave coz they’re all beautiful. They definitely fit the peacock theme. I haven’t been to the Bronx Zoo in ages, but when I was in grad school at Fordham, one of my classes was at the zoo. They didn’t have free range peacocks then. What a great idea 💡
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to choose a favorite. They are gorgeous. We went to the zoo during my spring break. Wednesdays are free (we gave a donation). It was nice and calm. I saw the peacocks last time I went but I think the free range part is a newer addition
DeleteThese jewel tones are super pleasing to the eye. No Cock, No Fowl is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteAll eyes on me is gorgeous! I wish I was going to Nola for PC this year!!!
ReplyDeleteThe names of these shades made me giggle. I like No cock no fowl even if it sounds odd, lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection! I'm such a fan of jewel tones for fall!
ReplyDeleteI love to wear metallic polishes and these are fabulous. The purple one grabs me most.
ReplyDeleteThese are all exquisite although I died laughing once I got to the name Fancy as Flock. I rarely wear purples but need it for the name alone. Haha!
ReplyDeleteAll fo these polishes are so pretty but I love how unique the Fancy as Flock looks. Also, how amazing is the photo of the peacock waiting on it's photos lol
ReplyDeleteSOON as I saw Without Feather Ado in the collage pic, I thought it reminded me of a peacock so how perfect was that! Its all great for that theme, and fun! There is a street here were you can often see them, or hear them! Occasionally I see them in a different area too, on my way to the beach! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the show exclusive shade, it's my favorite of the bunch. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty! I like Without Feather Ado most, such a gorgeous color.
