Rainbow Neon Gradient Tips

Press Sample

I know I've been so swatch heavy lately, and that will continue as I make my way through collections and items. I do, however, want to squeeze in at least 1 art a week! Today, I originally planned on doing a manicure to match a dress I have, but it was not going as planned. I took a step back and decided to go with simple and neon. I know fall is coming, so I was to do a few more neon manicures before I do all things pumpkin and leaves!

Rainbow Neon Gradient Tips

I've seen these types of manicures a million times online, and had it on a to do list of manicures to do, so I figured now is a good time! I wanted to do it over a neutral. Usually I see it over a deeper beige, but instead, I went with a pinky neutral, Morgan Taylor Curls and Pearls. Then I did a gradient as follows.

Pink: B-Girl Style
Green: Limonade In the Shade
Orange: Street Cred-ible
Blue: No Filter Needed

I just wanted to share my thumb, which is a neon yellow. I actually don't own a neon yellow Morgan Taylor, so I used Stella Chroma Lounging with Limoncello.

Each Morgan Taylor color retails for $9 and can be found online, at Cosmoprof stores, and select colors are in Ulta.

  1. I love this neon gradient! It's playful but not quite as loud as a full neon mani.

  3. I love this! I’ve never done a gradient. I need to look up how to do it: sponge?

    1. Oh my I’m so sorry for not putting in my process. You simply use a makeup sponge! I did the neutral base first. Then on the sponge, paint a strip of the neutral and a strip of the neon and dab it on!

  5. I love this gradient! You did such a great job of transitioning the colours. It's neon but there is a softness about it. Great work

  9. I usually don't like neons, but love how you've paired them with a wearable shade near the skin. I'm sure I could pull off neons if used this way!
