Girly Bits August CotM, Unicornucopia and Pegasussed

Press Sample

Girly Bits keeps making polishes that make me shed a tear because they are so beautiful. I thought the July CotM was amazing and couldn't be beat, but then August was like whatttt here I am? And all I can say is that you are going to want both sets. This set is like hidden rainbows of fun on your nails!

Pegasussed: 2 coats.  I'm going to tell you a secret that isn't really a secret if you read my blog. I'm fairly indifferent to purple polish. Ssshhhh. That being said, when I find a purple I love, I love it hard. Meet Pegasussed! It's a rich grape purple holographic with loads of pinky copper shimmer and then, my favorite, color shifting flakes. The shimmer and flakes make me say, this is one awesome polish that any purple lover needs, and anyone who is okay with purple, needs!

Staaahpppp! This shimmer is crazy gorgeous. It makes it much more than a normal purple polish.

I love flakes because they add that extra something. Who doesn't want a secret fun rainbow hidden within their nails?

Unicornucopia: 3 coats plus top coat then matte. So this is a teal-based polish, so naturally my camera wants to turn it blue. But pretend it has a little more green to it. For real, whatever the base color, this polish is so ME. It has a red to gold to green aurora shimmer, color shifting flakes, and some holo glitters. Excuse me while I pick my mouth off the floor. I love the combo of added shimmers and glitters and I love how everything shifts a different color at any given point.

Yes, there is a tiny bit of VNL but that is expected with jellies and my nails. But with all the added shimmers and glitters, it doesn't bother me one bit.

You knew I had to show you this matte. Jelly polishes that are filled with flakes and shifting glitters just love to be matte. Doesn't this hypnotize you? I was staring quite a bit, so I actually wore it for a while. No staining to report!

The August CotM will be available through September 1, so you can grab it along with the July CotM, which I shared on Tuesday. Each polish retails for $16.50 CAD. Seriously, both July and August knocked it out of the park! LOVE them!

  8. Gorgeous polishes! Unicornucopia is totally my kind of colour, especially if it is a touch more green. (although the blue would still be up my alley as well, haha!)
