Bee's Knees Lacquer Anniversary Collection, Part I

Press Sample

Hello! Today I have part one of the Bee's Knees Lacquer Anniversary collection! All 12 polishes have fun shifts and coloring, so I really didn't want to overload you with 75 photos! Hahaha. So this collection is a re-release from their first collection, the IT collection! Although I don't own the originals, Bee's Knees says these are very close! Along with this re-release there are some new colors, and some OG Unicorn Pee colors. Ok, let's get to these!

Bee's Knees Lacquer Anniversary Collection, Part I

Pennywise 3.0: 2 coats plus top coat. $13. This is an off-white crelly, with loaded with multichrome shifting flakes and aurora shimmer. I think humidity played around with this. I did two thicker coats but the formula was a little lumpy, so I think that three thin coats would have been better. I feel like the shimmer was much more evident in person. I really enjoy crellies with flakes!

Here's what I mean about the pink undertones. Especially in the sun, you can see how the aurora shimmer transforms the base.

Matte: I love crellies matte and this one is no exception!

We All Float On 3.0: 2 coats. $13. This is my absolute favorite of the entire anniversary collection. This is as close to the original as possible, due to some discontinued pigments. It's a smokey grey dark base with red to gold aurora shimmer, some holo, and flakes. I'm totally feeling this combo.  The color shifts are just awesome!

Here we go! Look at that rainbow!

Mmmm, matte! Again, I love the base color. It's really unique with the aurora shimmer.

**Now we are heading into the magnetics of the collection. For every magnetic, I have shown the polish AS IS on my outer nails, and magnetized on my inner nails. Many people have expressed not loving magnets, so I wanted to share how pretty these look without the shift!

IT: 2 coats plus top coat. $15. The first magnetic is IT, which is such a complicated color. Bee's Knees says it's a black based red magnetic polish with green to blue UP sibling pigment underneath. But with the shimmers, it sort of reveals this burnt deep red/auburn color. I'm all about that! The magnetic shift, like always, it's more obvious in person. This one is a more subtle shift than other.

S. S. Georgie: 2 coats. $15.  This one really transforms based on your lighting, hence why I have so many pictures. I'm using Bee's Knees description since it is spot on: It's a blue based peach to lime green magnetic multichrome with the gold to green UP sibling pigment underneath. As I moved, it was like WHOA lime green, bright orange. The shift are VERY much apparent. When you magnetize, there's a great effect with the shifts.

Here's the bright green peaking through!!

Yes, this is the same polish as above! You can really see the vibrant color shifts!

Pop! Pop!: 2 coats. $18.  This one has such a prominent magnetic shift. It's a purple based gold to orange magnetic multichrome with OG UP hidden underneath. This is my ultimate autumn colors. Auburn, brown, gold, maroon. It's very much my kind of color. Like all these, I'm loving them even without the magnetic shift.

Here you can see the OG Unicorn Pee shift. I find that UP green shifts are always at extreme angles.

I <3 Derry: 2 coats. $18. This one is very different from S.S. Georgie. It's a turquoise based pink to gold magnetic multichrome with OG UP hidden underneath. Like many of these, it transforms based on your lighting. It's sort of mind-boggling how different they look. It's like a surprise in a bottle.

Pardon the blurriness. This is the game of UP. Here, you can see the color shift in the shimmer.

The purple shift is moody and gorgeous, and then you'll see the next picture where green and gold pop out!

  7. I really love the IT polish - I haven't really tried Bees Knees before but the bottles remind me of the old American Apparel polishes and I really liked the design of them!
