Morgan Taylor Thrill of the Chill Winter Collection, Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Winter is in full swing, but I am not cut out for these negative wind chills. This is not normal NY weather! On the other hand, I am totally digging this winter collection from Morgan Taylor. These are the cremes I want and miss from them!  I'm also loving the in between holiday and spring collection. Usually, most companies have a lull, so I'm excited to see a new collection, and a great one at that! I previewed this collection in some nail art last month, and you can check that out HERE.

First impression was that these were okay. This is why swatches are so important. Once trying these on and wearing them, I love them! Don't judge a polish by its bottle, LOL.

Angling for a Kiss: 2 coats. I might as well start with my favorite, which totally and completely surprised me. If you have been reading my blog, you know I'm not a huge red fan. Something about this shade of red just GETS me. I immediately put this on my toes once I received the collection, and I loveeeee it. I actually RE-put it on my toes haha.

Ice Cold Gold: I'm going to show you one coat of this shimmery gold top coat over each color. I do prefer it over lighter colors, but I don't hate this!

Caviar On Ice: 2 coats. This was another favorite of mine! It's a taupey grey with an undertone of dusty purple. It goes on so smooth, like butter. I adore colors like these, and can never have enough of them!

This combination is actually really nice. It's my second favorite after My Main Freeze.

My Main Freeze: 3 coats. This is actually pretty opaque in two coats, I just applied it weird. This one also stamps!! YESSSS. It's an off white with just enough yellow undertones so that it's not too chalky. Loooove it! I can never have enough colors like this either.

See how Ice Cold Gold really works with lighter colors? It's definitely my favorite of the combinations.

Let's Kiss and Warm Up: 2 coats. A deep plum creme. This is one of the more unoriginal colors. It's not very unique, but it has a great formula and it stamps. I do love when polishes have more than one job!

Don't Let the Frost Bite!: 2 coats. This is a blurple, but more purple leaning creme. Another one with great formula, that I end up reaching for a lot since it is basically a one coater. You'll see my post on it this Friday. It was also my base for my Welcome to 2018 art!

See what I mean about not judging a book by its cover, or a nail polish by its bottle? I really love Angling for a Kiss, Caviar on Ice, My Main Freeze, and Don't Let the Frost Bite. That's 4/6 colors! And all five cremes stamp really well, which I'll post soon (maybe tomorrow!).

This collection is available now! There are a few cute gift sets and each color individually retails for $9. Ulta gets many of their gift sets. It doesn't seem like they have this collection yet, but I'm sure they will. And they currently have the Little Miss Nutcracker colors on sale!

    1. It’s definitely a top coat for lighter colors, imo. It looks like jewelry over my main freeze!

  8. I agree, you really can't tell with cremes until you try them! But nothing is better than a really fantastic creme.

  10. I concur, you truly can't tell with cremes until the point when you attempt them! In any case, nothing is superior to an extremely fabulous creme.
