It's Friday! The weekend is tomorrow and it's supposed to hit 60 degrees here. We've had some crazy weather but I have hope that it will be gorgeous in time for Polish Con. I shared with you the Floral Stamping Collection from Morgan Taylor HERE last month, and today I'm sharing the Geometric! For the floral, I did decals, and for this set, straight stamping.

Here is the stamping set. It all comes in a neat little box. It contains a clear stamper (which I'm in love with), a scraper, and 2 stamping plates.

You get 28 images. These are great staple images for any stamper. My only complaint is that 2 of the images on plate 2 are the same. The top row seems to have two checkered patterns. The stamped the same, so really, you have 27 images. Not sure if this was a mistake.

A little guide for the steps on how to stamp!

Each plate has a protective blue cover. See what I mean about the 2nd image and last image on the top row being the same?

Plate 1. I used a base of Potts of Tea from the Beauty and the Beast Collection as my base. I stamped four random images from the plate, and I'm content! Now, I used Morgan Taylor Perfect Landing to stamp, because I wanted to keep it in the family. I'm actually impressed with how it stamped!
Obviously, with a stamping polish or a metallic, you'll have crisper images. But I think it did a great job. The images are well etched. **Please ignore the smeared images. That was entirely MY fault as a new top coat I used is not friendly to stamping apparently*.

For the next plate, I did the same with four random images. I used Looking for my Wingman as my base and stamped with Rule the Runway. Again, it is not a stamping polish, but I think it did a good job! It's always fun to see how regular polishes work with stamping. I kind of like how the polka dots kind of look like bubbles from my polish!

I can't wait to play around with these plates some more, and next time with actual stamping polishes! LOL.
The stamping kits retail for $36.00 and that includes the 2 plates, 2 sleeve protectors, a scraper, and a stamper. I'm a little bummed about the two of the same image, only because these geometric patterns are fun, and I want that one more image!

I love stamping nails! I have plates from BPS and others. Quick way for pretty nails :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! Sometimes, it just adds a quick extra to your nails. I have BPS plates too and I love them!
DeleteI never noticed the second plate had duplicate images until you pointed it out, but that is a little disappointing, especially since this set does have a pretty high price point for a stamping set.
ReplyDeleteDo you have these plates? Is mine a mistake? I checked online and they all have the two checkers. The quality of these plates are really nice, but I do feel gypped with a repeated image.
DeleteI forgot they were coming out with plates!! I think the double image had to be a mistake...geometrics are the best! I'm glad to know that their polishes stamp well.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a mistake but this is how it is still sold. I do love the geometric patterns. Great for any stamper.
DeleteThese plates look really beautiful, I love your manis x
