Winter into Spring Snowy Pastel Art

Partial Press Sample

Winter isn't letting up! Last week, during my spring break, we had a blizzard! Luckily, we only got around 8-10 inches, unlike an hour north that got 30!! This gave me the inspiration for one last wintry mani and I wanted to incorporate the transition from winter to spring!

I wanted to mix bright colors with snow because soon, very soon, flowers will start blooming! I started with a base of China Glaze Snow Way. Then I sponged on:

Zoya Arizona (orange), Zoya Ness (green), OPI I Just Can't Cop-acabana (yellow), Paint Box Puffo (blue), Fruti di Bosco (purple), and Fragola (pink).

The trees are Paint Box Polish Bacio with some blending with Orly You're Blushing! I then added dots of Snow Way and accents on the tree. I topped it all with top coat, then matte top coat. I liked how the matte reminded me of how outside looks when it's blanketed with snow.

Here it is with top coat! I liked it with matte because it reminds me of the texture of fluffy snow, but I like it this way too!

So does this remind you of both winter and spring? What do you think?! Do you want winter to keep going or are you ready for spring?

    1. Me too! That was always my end goal but they shiny makes the colors pop while the matte mutes them.
