Partial Press Sample
You know I'm all about the Zoya comparisons. I have a huge collection and I like being able to do comparisons whenever possible. I decided to separate out the post from yesterday's swatches. Since this is the third Naturel collection, I dug out some old ones to do a little comparison! This will help you decide what to grab during the 4 free sale!
Zoya Naturel (3) Comparisons |
Tatum vs. Cala:
Tatum is on my index and ring and Cala is on my middle and pinky. Cala is much lighter and sheerer and requires 3 coats. Because Cala is lighter, it's a bit more wearable for me. But of course, it needs that extra coat.

Jill (index and pinky), Rue (middle), Brigitte (ring). Rue is way lighter and Brigitte is much pinker. I love all three. You can see how Jill leaves more mauve than pink. I think Brigitte is my favorite of the three but I like them all. I really thought there would be dupes, but nope!

Mary (index and ring), Normani (middle and pinky). Ok, in the bottles, these looked exactly the same! But wow, they aren't at all on the nail. Both have that purple tinge, but Normani has more grey in it. I love both and both have great formulas!

Gina (index and pinky), Desiree (middle), Nyssa (ring). Desiree is deeper and darker. Nyssa is lighter and brighter. I would say Nyssa is milk chocolate, Gina is hot cocoa, and Desiree is dark chocolate. I love each for their own reasons. I use Nyssa all the time for nail art! Clearly, there's no dupes!

So no dupes here! I had nothing close to Cathy and Debbie, so that's why I didn't do there. I thought some colors might be similar, but I'm so happy to report they are all different! So which is your favorite?

Oh, these are all distinctly different, but I really don't find myself needing this many of this type of shade. I do find it hard though with these to know which will go best with my skintone! It's much easier with blues or something that nobody expects to match you, haha!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't do nail art, I agree, I wouldn't need this many neutrals. Especially since some hate my skin tone!
DeleteLoving this comparison post! Thank you for it!
ReplyDeleteOf course! I hoard all my zoyas just for these types of posts
DeleteWow! Great comparison of all of these. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAny time!
DeleteI love posts like this! Thank you so much for comparing and making selections for us easier! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. That's the point of them! I always thought Cala was hideous on me but it's better than tatum
DeleteSome of these are very similar, but I still love them!
ReplyDeleteYea some definitely are close but then you can figure out which one will be best with your skin
DeleteLove your comparisons! These would all make fabulous gradients!
ReplyDeleteI know! I have lots of nail art to do with them!
DeleteThis is such an informative post on the Naturels! Thank you for putting them together for comparison sake!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Comparisons take forever but hopefully they help people decide what to buy!
DeleteThank you for doing comparison posts. They are so helpful!
ReplyDeleteThat's my goal!
DeleteNo dupes here! I love neutral shades like these :)
ReplyDeleteI figured you do too because of nail art! Neutrals are the best for it!
DeleteThese are pretty! Definitely no dupes, they are very different. Love this post!
ReplyDeleteThere's enough difference to justify owning them but if you don't have space, you can pick what works for you
DeleteThanks for this post, I was wondering how the new Naturels compared!
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly different!
DeleteThese are all so, so, so pretty!! I love Zoya! <3
ReplyDeleteZoya has such an amazingly large range!
DeleteI love how you did the comparison swatches -- that it so helpful for gals who might already own some Zoya. I don't, however, and these shades are really calling to me!
ReplyDeleteExactly. If you don't own a lot of Zoya, this can help you narrow it down!
DeleteSo happy I found this as I was trying to decide between a couple of these. Thank you so much. Your pics are so great. The differences really show up.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll definitely keep doing comparison posts! It's partly why I keep all my zoyas (and why I'm running out of space haha!)
DeleteOh, I was wondering how close Gina and Mary were. I tried to look at the two pics close together and they seem really similar with Gina being a tad bit darker. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Dragonfly! Ok so the differences will show up depending on your skin tone. Gina is a straight brown creme. Nothing else added. Mary is actually a raisin brown, so it has purple undertones. The amount of purple you pull will depend on your skin tone. I have yellow undertones so I pulled slightly raisin. Gina is definitely darker! Mary is more unique, in my opinion!
