Lipsticks and Nail Polish Mani Bombs, Lip Slough, and Cuticle Oil Review

Press Sample

Good evening! I have a few more items to share with you from Lipsticks and Nail Polish before the year ends! She has tons of new products in her store, including new packaging, so I wanted to share with you so you can jump on some orders first thing in 2017!

Here are the products together, as also so you can see the size differences. I have a few different mani bombs, Quench cuticle Oil, and Slough Lip scrub.

First up is a test bath bomb that I actually don't see on the site right now. It's a unique color and would definitely create a dark bath! I like the exotic-ness of this color! I remember my sister-in-law posting about black bath bombs, so I think it's a thing right now!

Next up are two different Heartbreakers, which retails for $2.00 each. This one is a Strawberry Lemonade scent that really comes alive once you put it into water. But look at that color! WHOA.

Here's a video of Acid Heart. I decided to use this because I wanted to see how the colorant would look with my hands. You can see it's an extremely bright and video fuchsia color. Well, after three minutes, it looked like my hand was getting extremely stained with the pink colorant so I got nervous. I washed my hands with soap and it mostly came off, but I would be nervous to soak my hands for 10 minutes. I think it would be good to cut this one in half to dilute the color. Sorry I'm dumb and filmed it wrong haha. But you get the gist!

The other Heartbreaker is Lemonade. It smells similar to Acid Heart, but I think once I put it in the water, it'll be pure lemonade scent. I really enjoy lemonade scents so these are perfect for me!

Next up is the Quench Cuticle Oil in Pumpkin Spice Latte, which retails for $6. I have quite a few Pumpkin Spice oils, but not lattes! I love this scent because it's much more latte than sweet pie. You get the hint of spice and espresso. It's very comforting. The pen feels nice too! The brush is different from other brands. I'll explain below. There's currently 7 scents available, including unscented.

Most of my cuticle pens have clear brushes and bristles. This one is an opaque white. It actually feels a bit sturdier yet it fans out nicely.

Now on to the Lip Slough, which is awesome and retails for $4. If you're like me and use matte lipstick, you know it's best to prep your lips with lip scrub. Or maybe you have dry lips during awful winters. Usually lip scrubs are in a jar, and this one comes in a stick form so you don't have to get messy! This scent is Peppermint and tastes like a candy cane to me. It felt great on and then I put on lip balm after!

Slough Lip Scrub

I would definitely recommend the lip slough, especially for winter months! I really love the packaging on that one! I love the scents of the bombs as well, just remember to keep an exfoliate around in case of stains from the rich colors. Every skin type is different; just like how some nail polish stain me and not others, the same could be with colorants.

  1. I love lip scrubs, but I HATE when they come in pots. I love that they thought things through with the packaging. Tubes make everything easier.

  2. Oh the lip scrub in the tube is a really genius idea! That mani bomb is PIGMENTED! Eee...I would have been scared of the staining as well. Glad it wasn't too bad, but I think I would steer clear of that one because the staining would worry me.

    1. Isn't it a genius idea?! I wonder why more people haven't done it! It's much cleaner. Now, the staining may have been minor but as a nail blogger, I was paranoid! So after 3 minutes, I had to get my hands out hahah

  3. I love the tube of scrubs. I have an e.l.f. one that I would love to give up in favour of an indie brand.

  9. I love the idea of the lib scrub in a tube, although I can't order these since I noticed they had grapeseed oil (I'm allergic). But still a great idea.
