Zoya Naked Manicure Review and Wear Test

Press Sample

Today I have a different type of polish post. Zoya Nail Polish released the Naked Manicure over the summer. At first I was confused, why would I want a set of sheer polishes? But now that I've used them, the system is really wonderful as a base coat for difficult formula polishes, for a clean look, and to help make your tired nails pretty again! So take a look at the transformation of my tired nails to clean and beautiful.

Well here are my nails all alone, with absolutely no treatment on them. You can see I have some peeling on my index and a bit of staining from always wearing polishes and swatching. This is pretty typical amongst nail bloggers--we use a lot of acetone!

The Zoya Naked pamphlet is really helpful in understanding the system.

This is the standard kit that will work on most skin tones. The Naked Manicure literally PEFRECTS you nails, so this includes the Naked Base, the Pink Perfector, the Tip Perfection (which whitens your nail tips), and the Satin Seal base, which takes away the super shine (since that isn't natural on nails) and evens out the tip perfector.

If you purchase the entire set, you receive all the colors to customize your look and be more specific with your issues. For example, the lavender perfector helps with staining, an issue for me!

The pamphlet also helps with how to blend to your skintone or whatever look you are going for. WHen you order the Naked Manicure System, you receive this pamphlet to help you as well!

I chose the Lavender + Pink Perfector combination. To achieve the look below:

1. Begin with the Naked Base.
2. Add one coat of Lavender Perfector; for the future, I would probably do two coats to really hide my stains!
3. Top with one coat of Pink Perfector.
4. Add the white tip perfector.
5. Top it all off with one coat of the Satin Seal.

And just to show you the side by side of how my nails look before and after:

The results are a very cleaned up nail, almost like a natural French manicure, without the harsh white tip. At first, I thought this system might be silly, but I wore this manicure for days because I just loved how my natural nail looked!

Zoya Nail Polish is available HERE on their web site. Polishes retail for $9 each. Make sure to like Zoya on Facebook so you are always up to date with new collections.
