Born Pretty Water Marble Plate, Stamping and Review

Press Sample

I'm back with some more faux water marbling, the best kind of water marbling. Born Pretty has really stepped up their stamping plate game, so I'm back with more to show you. I clearly loved the celebration plate, as I used it for 3 posts, and now I have another great post!

The plate is called a wavy net design, but many designs are water marble-like. There are 14 images and the plate arrives in a sleeve, with a protective sheeting on it. I also like how the plate is raised on a piece of white plastic. That way, you don't get polish on your desk while you're scraping.

I quickly stamped each design to see how they would work. I was sick and my black stamping polish was bring a jerk, but the images are all etched well and stamp great. Just use better stamping polish.

I started with a white base, then using Cirque Colors Sunset Park, Vigo, and Monte Carlo, I placed stripes of color on the stamp, scraped them down, and stamped! It totally looks like a water marble.

I grabbed the wrong top coat and smeared my design a little, but I just say it makes it look more like a water marble.

Born Pretty plates were the first plates I was ever able to stamp with and this plate is equally awesome. As you can see, each design stamps wonderfully, even for me being sick and lazy haha. It's well etched and the designs are fun! It's also a steal at under $3!
