On three of my nails, I have a base of Stella Chroma Gala. I am always happy to return to older collections (well, this is from this past fall). I tend to use newer collections for art, but I would like to make a habit on returning to favorites. Gala is a stunning matte red shimmer. On my thumb and ring nail, I did two coats of Stella Chroma Fireside Light, which was her Polish Pickup from September 2017, so it no longer is available.

I stamped a plaid image on my outside nails with a black stamping polish. On my ring nail, I did two coats of Fireside Light. On my middle, I added the bear drinking hot cocoa, because it's just silly! This is currently me-- I am all bundled up wishing for hot cocoa and then once I get home, I forget to make it.
To create the polar bear, I scraped the image with black. Then I filled in the hat, scarf, and mittens with Morgan Taylor Blue-Eyed Beauty. The mug and nose were filled in with Zoya Brandi. Lastly, I painted the entire bear with Zoya Snow White and stamped the whole thing on my nail. This was very quick to do!

What a great look! I've never tried that stamping technique (I think it's called reverse?) but the way you explained it, I think I could do it! Also, plaid is always in style for nails I feel!
ReplyDeleteYep, this is reverse stamping! Well, the polar bear is! I feel like reverse stamping sounds so difficult, but it's really not, especially with single larger images!
