Part I yesterday which included 4 magnetic multichromes and 2 flake polishes. Today, I'm sharing some OG Unicorn Pee polishes and multichromes. I think you will enjoy this set! All the details are in my post! So check it out.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Anniversary Collection, Part II |
So for each of the UP colors, there's a coordinating "undie" creme base. I've shown each polish by itself on my ring, and then over the under on the other nails. The undies will retail for $8 each, but as a special gift, 9/1-9/3, the undie will be free with purchase of the UP topper!
Lover/Loser: $18. First I'm sharing what the undies look like. This is two coats of the undie. It's a really squishy, shiny creme! Great formula! This is like a magenta berry fuchsia color.

Lover/Loser |
Now, I have UP on on all my nails. There's one coat over the undies and 3 coats of Loser/Lover on my ring. I will say I struggled to see the green shift in this color the most. I think a second coat over the undie nails would have helped with that.

Neibolt Street. $18. This is my favorite of the three! I love the mushroom taupe grey of this! Again, first I'm sharing the creme on its own and I love it! Excellent formula at two coats.

Here I have one coat of UP over the undie nails, and three coats of the UP on its own on my ring. Something about this combo has me living.

Pardon the weird lighting, but that's the name of the game with UP. You can see the green and gold shift by my cuticle.

The Ironworks. $18. So I didn't show the undies for this one, because they on mistake sent me two of the UP polishes for Ironworks. I told them not to send me the undies, since I wanted to swatch these ASAP but I appreciate the thought. I had a creme that I felt was close enough. So just like above, I did one coat over a base color, and three coats on my ring on its own. I'm digging this brick red color.

Since the UP green shift can be a pain to capture, I was like whaaattt finally! I wanted to re-swatch Loser/Lover, but I really was running out of time. But I do believe you'll be able to see the UP in all of these. The green shift in the UP definitely pops over the base color vs. the polish alone.

Dancing Clown: 2 coats. $13. This is a resurrected Bonfire, James Bonfire according to Bee's Knees. It's almost a one coater, just be more careful with application. I feel like this one could be a stamper as well. Just do as few brushstrokes as possible, since it's somewhat metallic. It has a ruby red base and shifts to orange to gold to green.

The multichromes pop in the shade, and here you can see the orange, gold, and green. SO pretty!

Tasty Fear: 2 coats. $13. This has the same formula as Dancing Clown. It can easily be a one coater, and needs as few brushstrokes as possible. The base is a coppery red and then the polish shifts to green, lime green, gold, orange. Basically it's the rainbow.

The Turtle: 2 coats. $13. This is my favorite of the multichromes. I love that this one has a creamier formula. The grey based almost transforms to a dusty turquoise. There's a teal shimmer and shifts to a purple and deep pink color.

All of these polishes will be available September 1 at 12pm NOON EDT.
Please refer to each polish for prices, as each one differs due to
pigment and shimmers used. Check out my post yesterday for
Part One. Don't forget about the deal, where with any person of the UP topper, you will get the coordinating undie for free, but only through 9/3.
Products in the post were provided for honest opinion.
The pink and red UP polishes on their own look great. Are Bee's Knees polishes usually $18? I'm not that familiar with a lot of newer indie brands, so are there some around the $15-20 price mark now?
ReplyDeleteNormally, their polishes retail for about $12 and eight dollars for the cremes. Unfortunately, the unicorn pee pigment is rare and incredibly expensive which is reflected in the prices. This is out of the norm for their normal price range.
DeleteThis UP toppers and cremes are amazing! I need to figure out which ones I REALLY need....who am I kidding, need them all!
ReplyDeleteThis collection is glorious! Just ordered today.
ReplyDeleteYour swatches of the UP colors with and without the creme bases are A++, thank you for showing them both ways!!
ReplyDeleteThere are several shades I like in this collection! You did a nice job capturing the UP!
