Good Morning! Today I have a huge post with the newest lipstick releases from Julie G! They have 12 new lipsticks and 8 new Glow Stix! There's definitely something for everyone with these releases, and I'm a huge lipstick fan!

The newly formulated lipsticks are in typical bullet lipstick packaging. The name is on the top, which a coordinating color of the lipstick on the bottom half of the packaging. These retail for $4.99.

These are the 12 newly formulated and new colors. I tried to swatch them based on the color on the tube, to see which ones might be close. But none of the colors are close at all!

Here they are with coordinating colors of the tubes. Now lets get to formula! These are creamier lipsticks and very moisturizing. They don't have any scent, just sort of that lipstick scent, which is kind of chemically. It's just normal.

The colors in indoor lighting. All swatches are of two coats of the lipsticks. I swatched on my arms, because my lips are pretty pigmented, therefore, I wanted a blank canvas.
Angeles: This one is a deep mauve plum color. Felt nice on. It is a bit matte, compared to others.
Victoria: This is a nude color, with a bit of metallic sheen.
Carmen: Terra-cotta color--I'm really feeling this one.
Christina: Again, this one has a metallic sheen, like Victoria.

Colors in the sun! Here, you can see what I mean with the metallic sheen!
Krystal: This one says it's neutral, but it pulls very coral on me.
Georgia: Essentially a darker version of Krystal, and more flattering on me.
Niki: A little patchy. It's almost like a sheer raspberry
Ventura: A browner version of Niki, and a better formula.

And in shade. This really helps to show you which ones are more matte, and which ones that are shiny.
Yesenia: Love this color! Might be one of my favorites; it's almost like a dusty rose.
Penelope: The most Barbie pink! Not a color I would wear daily, but it packs a punch.
Elizabeth: a classic dark red. I love red lips and wear them often. This one has a somewhat patchy formula.
Veronia: A brighter red. Love bright reds as well!

I'm not a huge lip gloss person. I have long hair, so unless I'm wearing a bun of some sort, I tend to skip the gloss, or I'll be eating my hair ALL the time. NYC is pretty windy haha. So these Glow Stix look so awesome in the bottle. If you have dark lipstick (I only have two and one is gross on me and the other wasn't quite dark enough), these would be awesome over them. I guess I need a black lipstick!

You can really see the color bases in the sun and shade. These felt nice on as a gloss, but honestly just made my lips look wet, since the colored bases weren't quite enough.

It's funny how different the Jesse's Girl lipsticks look on different people! I keep saying I love Ventura, but in these pictures it looks a little browner than I originally thought. So funny to me. Those glosses also look amazing. Might have to try Titania for myself.
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches! I love wearing non traditional lip colors, I have a dark purple that I hope the glowsticks will show up well over.
ReplyDeleteThis lip glosses are so fun! I'm really intrigued by them and want to see them over a few shades (black/blue/green)
ReplyDeleteYesenia is my favorite but I understand they have a strong fragrance. The Rite Aid near me doesn't have much from Jesse's Girl unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI've been loving layering the GlowStix over base shades, particularly reds. They're so pretty!
ReplyDeletelove Christina and I'm not a big fan of the glowstix
ReplyDeleteThe lipsticks are fun and the glosses are fun to give things a fun edge!
ReplyDeleteI really like how Penelope looks on you, I would reach for Carmen for myself.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite on your skin tone is Cristina! Your post actually bumped that to be one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these lipsticks. They feel so creamy and smooth and wear really well
ReplyDeleteI am dying for those Glow Stix!
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! “Niki” is my favourite
