KBShimmer The Midway Collection, Swatches and Review

 Press Sample

Hello all! If you are at the Polish and Beauty Expo, you can grab the newest KBShimmer collection tomorrow, July 20! If not, you can get these beauties next week, so let's get right into them because I have a lot of swatches to share!

Lemon Shake-Up Hand & Body Scrub

Lemon Shake-Up Hand & Body Scrub is a nod to that luscious summertime treat. This scrub opens with the refreshing scent of tart, freshly squeezed lemons and is sweetened by a hint of sun-kissed raspberries. The soft yellow sugar base is swirled with lime green, creating a summery delight for your skin.

PLEASE NOTE: During warmer weather, the oils may separate and settle in the jar; this will not harm your scrub. Just stir before using to recombine any oils that rise to the top. Scrubs are packed by weight, not volume. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Lemon Shake-Up: I love lemon scents so I knew I would enjoy this one. I am wearing the matching lemon polish too, because why not! It is not straight lemon, but I enjoy the combination of scents with this one! Perfect for summer and an overall fresh scent.

The Midway Collection

As the summer days roll by and the Fourth of July becomes just a memory, there’s still one more event we eagerly await: the fair and its midway! This annual tradition fills our day with colorful rides that spin, twirl, and whip us around until we’re nearly sick from laughing. The midway still tempts adults with treats like lemon shake-ups and cotton candy, while ticket booths happily empty our pockets as we load up on chances to win prizes. Goldfish in bowls, giant blow-up aliens, or stuffed bears—give me my ring to toss, please! This summer, join KBShimmer as we head to the fair with a seven piece collection celebrating everything the fair’s midway has to offer.

Ferris One Of All nail polish is a raspberry-colored jelly. The fruity base features vibrant flakes in shades of gold, indigo, crimson, green, copper, and pink. Depending on the angle and lighting, you may also catch hints of purple, aqua, and blue. This jelly polish offers full coverage in two coats for most nail lengths, though longer nails may prefer three. Use Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish.

Ferris One Of All: 3 coats plus top coat. You can probably get away with two coats, but I added a very thin third coat for photos, but I am not sure if it made a difference. The color is definitely a strawberry jam sort of base color and this polish is absolutely loaded with flakes. There is seriously a rainbow at every single corner and angle.

Prize Possession is a bold orange flake polish with a nearly metallic shimmer. This vibrant shade mimics the look of a prize goldfish, featuring “scale-like” flakes that shift from orange to gold to tangerine, with subtle flashes of red and pink. Two coats offer full coverage for most nail lengths. Finish with Clearly On Top for maximum shine.

Prize Possession: 2 coats plus top coat. This polish is so juicy. It’s like the freshest orange juice right on your nails. I love the flakes in this one and how the gold flakes give this an almost pink look. I can imagine this being the most gorgeous pedicure as well. It is perfectly shifty yet still orange. Love it!

Shake It Up is a sparkling addition to our Mega Flame line of holographic glitter polishes. Silver holo glitters swim in a lemon-yellow jelly base, catching the light for unbelievable sparkle. In low light, the polish leans more chartreuse, while in the sun, the true lemon-yellow shines bright. For a glass-like finish, use Smooth Moves glitter smoother before topping with Clearly On Top.

Shake It Up: 3 coats plus Smooth Moves. You know I love a yellow. This one sometimes looks green as the description mentions and that is because it has a bit of green undertone. So this will depend on your skin tone and angle. This one is sparkly and I haven’t seen one of these mega flame polishes in a while. It is so much fun. Most KBShimmer yellows get discontinued, so definitely grab this if you are a yellow/gold polish lover like myself.

Glow Getter is a neon green glow-in-the-dark nail polish. This UV-reactive shade is packed with crystal chameleon flakes that flash lime, lemon yellow, aqua, peach, green, and even purple. Once charged, it glows green in the dark for a fun surprise. Best in two coats, shake well before use to distribute the glow powder, and finish with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish.

Glow Getter: 3 coats plus top coat. Because this is so neon, it dries down matte so you need some topcoat to let it shine. This is such a bright and electric color that it reminds me of slime. I feel like I would use this more for Halloween nail art rather than wearing it as a straight manicure, but it’s super fun for anyone who loves neon green nails. I also shared it as a glow in the dark polish and under blue light, because why not?!

Bump Up The Volume nail polish is a shimmery shade made for sunny days. This cornflower blue, which leans near periwinkle, is loaded with color-shifting shimmer that moves from green to teal and aqua. At some angles, flashes of indigo and purple appear. Covering well in two coats, finish with Clearly On Top for a brilliant shine.

Bump Up The Volume: 3 coats plus top coat. I think two coats will be enough, but for photos, I felt a third coat for some slight balding and visual nail line sealed it in. I really love this polish and I really do gravitate more towards shimmers than holographic polishes. I like how the shimmer shifts so sometimes the polish looks more blue and sometimes it looks more purple. I also find it to be a very calming color.

Give It A Whirl is a warm purple magnetic polish, perfect for velvet-effect manicures. The red-raspberry base glows with a strong blue shimmer. When used with a horseshoe magnet, a soft pink velvet pull pops against the raspberry for a stunning summer look. With a traditional magnet, the shimmer shifts the base to a richer grape hue.

Give It A Whirl:  3 coats plus top coat. I magnetized after each coat. For my pinky and ring, I use the horseshoe magnet which I am not sure if I am using correctly, but it gives a fun effect. For the index and middle are used a traditional bar magnet, which I think I prefer as it leads the polish to look a little darker on my nails. This is very much reminding me of 80s frost polishes. With the horseshoe magnet, it magnetizes to a pinky color whereas on the straight bar magnet, it leans a darker pink or violet color. The fun thing is is that it’s your nails so you can do whatever you want. My problem with the horseshoe magnet is that I am not able to remove the magnet keeper plate, so I’m not sure I’m getting the effect I should be. I also want to add that the topcoat added weird lines so make sure you take your time between letting the final coat dry and using topcoat.

Spun-believable nail polish is a radiant pink that captures the spirit of that fluffy sweet treat. This warm pink starts with hints of peach and gold but shifts to cooler tones with changes in lighting or angle. Fuchsia and raspberry hues twinkle in the light, revealing soft touches of lavender and periwinkle for an unbelievably sweet shade. Apply 2–3 coats for full coverage.

Spun-believable: 3 coats plus top coat. This is a bright pink that definitely reminds me of cotton candy and the reflective shimmer that has some blue in it. It’s a fun and bright pink and also a bit 80s.

My favorites are Prize Possession, Shake It Up, and Bump Up the Volume. As usual, I will try and pull up some of polishes I have still and you a little comparison. If you have specific comparisons that you want, and I have the color, let me know.

The Midway Point Collection will launch July 20th at Polish & Beauty Expo and online at KBShimmer.com on July 23rd, 2025.

  1. Great collection. Thank you for the many photos. I love shake it up and prize possesion. I can see the neon green on my toes. Great summer shade. I love a lemon scrub. One of my favorite scrubs was the lime margarita so I'm sure I would love the lemon. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are having a wonderful summer. 💜
