So if you have been a reader of my blog for really any Halloween season, you know it is my absolute favorite. I usually do a 13 days of Halloween nail art series and I love it so much. I am not sure that will be possible this year with my hectic schedule, but no fear, my favorite is still Halloween and I will represent. I'm always down for some Halloween love and that is the PPU theme!

Autumn Colored Fresh Scent Soap
Cost & Cap: $4. No cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: The soap resembles pumpkin orange, brick red and a deeper foliage green. It is a nice, fresh scent, not too flowery. Her signature formula of unrefined shea butter, unrefined kokum butter, babassu oil, castor oil and enriched with Vitamin E oil is in this soap. Each bar is at least 3.5 oz
Thoughts: I absolutely love the colors of this soap! While she says it is a little flowery, I find it to be fresh and completely unisex. I so want to do a manicure with these colors. I do enjoy Cynthia's soap formulas. My darling loves bar soap and he can't wait to use this! This recipe lathers up nicely and I always use a soap saver bag and keep the soap out of water when I am done using it.

Nothing Good Happens After Midnight: 3 coats plus top coat.

Inspiration & Color Description: Covens of witches stirring cauldrons, cackling over ingredients and solemnly reciting horrifying spells on innocent people. Of course, all these things are done in the wee hours, so the old adage, "Nothing Good Happens After Midnight."
Thoughts: This is such a deep and moody jelly color! I can imagine stamping bats in white and then doing a jelly sandwich with one more coat of polish. Great jelly formula!

Apple Harvest Hand and Body Scrub
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: Apple-picking was the perfect way to start the autumn season and
enjoy the weekends before snow littered the ground. Apple
Harvest Sugar Scrub starts with notes of freshly peeled apples
throughout an apple green and off-white swirled scrub. Slightly sweet,
with just a hint of tartness, you can almost smell the first bite of a
Honeycrisp or Granny Smith. Soon, the apple scent gives way to a sugary,
almost caramel-like note accented by subtle traces of cinnamon and
stewed pears. This cozy, sweet, and tart fragrance will remind you of
those perfectly picked fruits and Grandma’s apple pie.
Thoughts: Just as a warning, this was shipped during a heat wave, so my sugar scrub is a little melty. I just throw them in the fridge and all is well. This one is really like an apple caramel pie and somewhat sweet. Remember, our noses pick up on different things. To me, I get caramel apples!

Light My Fire (Magnetic): 2 coats unmagnetized, 3rd coat magnetized plus top coat.

Inspiration & Color Description: Warm days and cooler nights are perfect for one
thing: bonfires! Friends and family enjoy listening to the crackle of
the flames that keep away the bite of the evening chill. Light My Fire is
inspired by those cool nights that spark warm memories. A blackened
base is filled with multichrome flakes that shift between orange, red,
gold, and copper depending on the viewing angle. The magnetic pigment
shows off a similar spectrum, with rusty oranges, golden yellows, and
burning red tones. Use our magnet for a polish that features flakes
that both dance like sparks in the night and give a fiery pop of
flame-like color. A scattering of micro holo flakes adds a hint of
sparkle.
Thoughts: First I wanted to share how this look without a magnet and it's gorgeous. Add the magnet and WOW. I love the shift of colors and it matches the inspiration
perfectly. I just put up a leaf garland in these colors and I love it. Bonus that I love it both with and without the magnet!

Inspiration & Color Description:
Lollipop Posse Lacquer hopes that we don't spook you too much with a neon for Halloween! 'Shivering Down Your Spine' is an electric blue crelly filled with pink, color-shifting iridescent flakes.
Thoughts: What a fun take on Halloween. You should see the inspiration pictures for this and the electric blue neon inspiration. I am here for the super flakey polishes and Lollipop nails them! My nails have VNL so I used a third coat.

Where My Ghouls At? Emulsified Sugar Scrub

Scent: We are bringing the fall with this scrub scent! Warm and comforting
like spiced apple cider that you get at an apple orchard. Or sip at a
bonfire. While eating a s'more. Mmmm!
Thoughts: This sugar scrub is more of the spicier apple cinnamon than sweet. I also had some meltiness but again, I put it in the fridge. I love this scent and definitely need it in a cuticle oil (cough, cough, Pam). It's really warm and inviting and makes me smile.

Oz-Some: 3 coats plus top coat, then matte. I prefer 3 thin coats to let the flakes shine instead of two thicker.

Inspiration & Color Description: Inspired by one of the great villains, The Wicked Witch of The West, and
her desire for those ding dang ruby slippers. A base of bright neon
green is perfect for Halloween month. Accented by silver holo flakies
with crimson/yellow shifting UCC flakies as a nod to the slippers.
Thoughts: Oh my this is soooo fun! I love lime green and the rainbow flakes are just the best. This will be oz-some (get it?!) with some slime image stamped on it. I love the bit of silver holo flakes against the UCC flakes. Don't miss this bright and fun Halloween polish!
