Hello all! This Friday is April's Polish Pickup. I'm personally happy March is finally ending, since it's been 3 years long. I'm ready to spend another 2-4 inside and hope we can see some positives soon. Meanwhile, I have been playing with nail polish and utilizing this time to dig through my stash. But I am also always happy to play with new polishes, which I have for you today! So let's see what these makers did with Aquatic Wonder.

I Huff and I Puff: 2 coats plus top coat.
Cost & Cap: $9.50, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Pufferfish. Yellow gold with red microglitter and flecks (my own description).
Thoughts: This is my favorite AE of 2020! I love the color and the finish of the polish. It's like mini flecks! The polish lays completely smooth but I used top coat to let it shine. I think this is just a really unique and fun polish!

You Look Marble'ous: 3 coats.

Inspiration & Color Description:
"You Look Marble’ous is an intentionally sheer
aqua blue base with a glowing aqua blue shimmer that hints at shades of
green and violet at angles. It also has a small amount of glowy
iridescent blue flakes."
Thoughts: This was much more opaque than I expected based on the description! It was basically opaque at two coats but I did three for my pesky index. I swear, this shifts so beautifully but it hid for the camera. I love the subtle but smattering of the flakes. This glows so much.

Wild Orchids Sugar Scrub

Scent: "I hope the movies didn’t get it wrong; if I’m ever
lost in the tropics, I want to stumble upon a tranquil lagoon complete
with sparkling waterfall, exotic orchids, ripe fruits and lush
greenery. I would swim in the aqua blue water and feel at peace in that
tropical oasis. KBShimmer’s Wild Orchid sugar scrub is inspired by how
I imagine this aquatic scene would smell! Wild
Orchid starts with a sensual orchid note. Sweet amber is supported by
notes of ripe peach and verbena and is completed with a subtle note of
wood. This off-white sugar scrub is swirled with aqua and pink for a
tropical scrub that will take you away to exotic lands."
Thoughts: Mmm I love this scent! I was nervous it might be too floral for me, but I definitely get a more fruity vibe! Definitely reminds me of the tropics. And KBShimmer's Sugar Scrub formula is gritty but moisturizing!

Inspiration & Color Description:
"Based on Boesemani Tropical Rainbowfish. For April’s Aquatic Wonder
theme, I knew I wanted to capture the beauty of fish, and Boesemani
Tropical Rainbowfish were my perfect inspiration! From their stunning
blue front fading from shades of aqua and green, to a tail of gold and
orange, they truly are a swimming rainbow! Seems Fishy starts
with a deep indigo base boldly accented with a shimmer that shifts in a
rainbow of hues. In the shade, see pops of red, pink, orange, lime,
green, and blue. The gold and greens really shine through in brighter
lighting, and the more extreme angles reveal a pop of deep navy. A
scattering of holo micro flakes completes this stunning multichrome
polish.
Thoughts: This is soooo shifty! I love the base color of this. Sometimes, multichromes can be meh when not in the shade, but not this one. The adding of the holo gives it just enough sparkle. This is so pretty. It is definitely a rainbowfish.

Inspiration & Color Description:
"The Wellspring, from "The Magicians."'The Source of All Magic' is a black jelly base filled with blue to
purple to green shifting Aurora shimmer, blue to purple shifting
iridescent flakes, and holographic microflakes. Inspired by the
Fillory's Wellspring, which is the source of all magic in the universe
in "The Magicians" book and television series."
Thoughts: I really love how different the polishes are this month and I'm totally digging the glowing flakes in this polish. It's so luminescent. I saw the inspiration photo and this is such a perfect pairing. I definitely see magic glaring from the polish.

Stella Chroma

Cool Reef Emulsified Sugar Scrub
Cost & Cap: $6 for 2.5 oz jar, no cap
Scent: "Our beloved creamy emulsified
sugar scrub is scented with lemongrass, eucalyptus, and peppermint
essential oils. Very similar to LUSH's Outback Mate soap, this scent is
very fresh and invigorating. Gentle enough to use anywhere on the body
(taking care to avoid sensitive areas due to this particular essential
oil combo!), apply scrub to wet skin and massage in! The sugar granules
gently exfoliate away old skin cells and the oils and butters plump up
the fresh skin that's revealed."
Thoughts: So I totally love this soap from LUSH so I'm so excited to have this scent in Stella Chroma's scrub! Fresh and invigorating are perfect words. I'm saving this one for the summer. It's almost refreshing.

Turtle-y Tubular: 2 coats plus top coat. Then matte.
Cost & Cap: $12 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: "Drawing inspiration from the Honu of Hawaii floating along in the
crystal blue waters of the North Shore, this sandy nude glitter crelly
is heavy on the sapphire blue and emerald green holographic glitter.
There are a few matte turquoise glitters and a bright green shimmer as
well!"
Thoughts: I feel like Stella Chroma doesn't make glitter crellies often, so this was exciting for me too! I really love the matte turquoise glitters and shimmer in this. And it matches the turtle that inspired the polish. This is like an amped up work polish with the neutral base.
