Candy corn continues. I don't know why I am feeling this motif so hard this 2019 Halloween season, but you'll just have to deal. I haven't been so intense this season with art. I feel like I have been super subtle. Like plaid for Halloween? I haven't even done orange nails! But anyway, these were super cute and I loved wearing them, so let's continue with 13 Days of Halloween nail art!

13 Days of Halloween: Plaid with Reverse Stamping Candy Corn

So I saw dish towels that actually had a candy corn and plaid motif. It looked totally different from this but it's a nice idea to combine classic candy corn and plaid. I really wanted those towels, but I only have one kitchen and so many Halloween kitchen towels!

I started with a base of Girly Bits Irreplaceable, a nice beige creme. Then I used Hit or Mist and stamped on a plaid image. I love that the GB cremes are so great for stamping!

I always get asked about reverse stamping, so I figured it was time to share again how I do this! So to create this look, I stamped the candy corn image in white. I left it on the stamper and filled it in with Stella Chroma Hug the Road (orange) and Ananas (yellow).

Then I filled in the entire candy corn with Stella Chroma High Noon. I let it dry for a little, then I took a pair of slanted tweezers and one by one removed each candy corn. They come off very easily!

I topcoated my nails and before it dry completely, I placed on the candy corns in random positions. You could put as many or as few as you want! I went overload because why not! I topped it all with matte top coat because I love plaid nails matte.
