Hello all! Hope you had a great weekend! I shared the new Morgan Taylor Illusions last week and you knew I had to do some nail art! I had just received a butterfly stamping plate and I figured the Illusions collection looks like colors you might find in a butterfly. So I decided, art time!

The plate below is a butterfly plate with six different wing images on it. You can find the plate for $1.00 HERE. It usually costs more but what a great sale! The images are well etched and I was able to pick up the image nicely. The images are huge and wide. You'll see below that it would be difficult to fit the entire image on your nail. There are shrinking image techniques, but I'm lazy and use the plates as is.

To create this look, I used the Morgan Taylor Illusions collection, which I shared yesterday! I figured these duochromes would be perfect for a butterfly look! I originally planned to do all my nails, but once I saw the butterfly didn't fit, I figured accent nail!
I started with a black creme base and then I put dots of each Morgan Taylor polish on a stamper and smooshed it on my nails. SO EASY! Make sure to use a liquid latex barrier or you'll have a huge mess!

For the butterfly accent, I actually did reverse stamping but I probably just should have smooshed all my nails. I stamped the butterfly image in green and then colored in the wings. Then I added a coat of sticky base coat on my nail and stamped it on. You can really see how each wing part is a different color. So pretty!
