Good evening! Tonight I'm sharing a scrub from Simple Sugars! I actually finished a jar of this scrub and now I'm on my second jar, so this is a testament to how long I've used the product and I'm going to explain how I used it now!

So Simple Sugars is a brand that I met with at Discover Beauty at Cosmoprof NA. They actually won Shark Tank! Their tag line is GO NOLO, which means no lotion. I love a scrub that lets me skip a step of lotion!
The jar I previously used was a mango scent and I looooved it! It may have been a limited edition scent because I don't see it on their site. I'm currently using Lemonade, which is a seasonal summer scent. Don't use this before you plan to sunbathe, since it contains citrus oils which can cause burns when exposed to sunlight.
There's an ingredients list HERE but there's no nut oils or nut derivatives so that's good if you have an allergy.

This is the normal Lemonade sugar scrub. They have a line with Emu Oil, but since I'm a vegetarian, I don't care for using animal oils. This scrub is so lovely, I'm not sure why they bother with animal byproducts.

Here's the sample size, which is fairly large, and the manicure I took off before using.

Here's my nails before the scrub. I have some excess shimmer, and dry patches from ignoring my nails while away on vacation. Bad me.

I used about a walnut size or less and ran my hands under warm water while rubbing my skin with the scrub. This is actually how I prefer to use this scrub. There's so much oil, that I think I would sweat it off my body in the summer. Now, it's PERFECT for swatching! After a long day of swatching or if I wear flakies or glittery polishes, this is the perfect solution. It gives my hands life and moisture. I really love this scrub!

I wish the sample sizes were available to purchase but they have 5 oz. and 8 oz. available. I just want to buy sample sizes of tons of scents! Prices range depending on the product but most seems to be about $14-$20. 5 oz. of this scent is $14.

This is a very detailed review. I appreciate all the little tid bits you added about not using before sun and the emu oil option.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I tried to add as much as possible because there's so many sugar scrubs out there!
DeleteI may have to look into this scrub, I feel like the before and after picture show a bif difference (not that your nails are bad, at all!) I think this might really benefit my terrible cuticles and hands :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! My hands are definitely brighter and the dry spots from swatching disappear. This is definitely my go to for after swatching. I will definitely re-buy when I'm out.
DeleteI'm intrigued! Definitely need to try this out (if not for anything but the scent!!).
ReplyDeleteThe lemonade scent is spot on. It's light but refreshing.
DeleteI love a good lemony scrub, especially after swatching all the things.
ReplyDeleteExactly. All that acetone kills my hands.
DeleteThat really makes your skin look healthy!
ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely yummy, I love these things!
