This is my second to last post of 2016, so I'm happy it's one I love! When I first posted the KBShimmer Holiday 2016 collection, I knew I wanted to do a New Years Eve manicure. So I did! The polish is so complex that I left the art pretty simple. Eeee I love this polish!

Bling in the New Year: 2 glorious coats! This was my top 3 of the Holiday collection! It's a pale gold flake polish with tons of UCC flakes and a touch of holo. It's bling on your fingertips and perfect for the new year.
I then stamped it with a black polish and Uberchic 1-01. Topped it with top coat! I chose this stamp because 1. I don't have fireworks stamps (for shame!) 2. It reminded me of retro 70s lamps/fireworks. I think it kind of works and I dig the combination.

Of course I had to matte it. The matte allows the colors to show through from the flakes but removes the sparkly bling. I still dig it!

DeleteOh yeah, Bling in the New Year is fabulous! I almost reached for that plate and that design for my NYE mani too because they do look a bit like fireworks and I decided I didn't want to use my fireworks plate this year. I decided to go with sparkly gold and black paisley! :D
