Valentine’s Day Gradient Heart Stamping

Press Sample

Happy Valentine's Day!!! πŸ’žπŸ’—πŸ’– I am dressed in a red dress with my "Valentine's Day" shoes with are pink and red glitter with a giant Cupid's heart on them! Of course, I needed festive nails too so this is what I currently have on!

For Valentine’s Day, I knew I wanted to do something with hearts and a gradient. I have not been doing that much stamping lately, so I decided originally to do a gradient base and stamp white hearts. Then last minute I decided why not gradient the stamp and so that is what I did. Plus, doing the gradient stamp is so much faster than the gradient base. Mr. MK absolutely loves pale pink and white nails. That’s just his preference. So that’s what I decided to do for my base color.

I love the colors I used. Here they are!

  • Base: Nailtural Perfectly Pink
  • Iridescent top coat: Poetry Cowgirl Deception
  • Pink creme: Zoya Eden
  • Red creme: Morgan Taylor Classic Red Lips
  • Plate: Lina Make Your Mark 03 (Purchased)

I loved Nailtural. Perfectly Pink is that perfect pale, sheer pink cream and it is actually gorgeous in two coats, which is shocking for a color like this. I opted to do an extremely thin third coat, but I’m not sure if I needed to. I remember that they sent me their five-piece collection, and I absolutely raved over the colors and the formula. Then they completely disappeared off of social media and their website was gone two months later and I have no idea what happened to this brand, but the colors were really lovely.  I was so excited to see what else they would release, but alas, they have never returned since 2020. In addition, I almost used KBShimmer Ice and Easy as the topcoat over my pink, but found it a little chaotic with the extra glitters. Poetry Cowgirl Deception had that amazing iridescent flake that was just enough of a hint of sparkle without overpowering the base and the stamp.

To do the gradient stamp, I simply put a dab of the pink cream and a dab of the right cream on the side of the image, and scraped until they blended.

I hope you have a wonderful day filled with chocolate and heart-shaped pizza!

  1. I love this manicure. I had almost the exact same one but no flakes. Same plate. I got called into work and off it came. I managed 2 Valentines manis . I sent you a pic of one of them. But I think February we can wear pinks and reds all month. I look forward to seeing more of your creations this month. Thanks for sharing.πŸ’œ

    1. Ohhhh did you take a picture!? I last minute added the flakes. I feel bad you had to remove it. I agree about reds and pinks; my next mani will be mauve! Simple art :)
