NYC Window Displays for Holidays 2019

I have a different post for you today, and it's a mini tour around Manhattan and the holiday displays they had this past season. Why post it now? Well, 1) I didn't see all the displays until January 1 and 2) they give me nail art inspiration year round! So now that I finally had the time, I sat down to share some of the top window displays from the holiday season.

I was so in love with my pink gradient with gold foil that I wanted to replicate it with blues and silver! I actually had intended to wear this originally but ended up in a gold mood and mixed it up with the pinks. But I do love this coloring and again, wore it forever, especially as my nails are shorter and I'm giving them time to grow out.  Ok, let's get to the details!

Well, don't be mad, because I'm sharing a polish duo that is no longer available. I did nail art with the November COTM from Girly Bits in November and December, so you did have fair warning to purchase it, but now I'm sharing proper swatches. I'm sorry I'm being a bit inconsistent on the blog. This past week started my semester not only as a professor, but a graduate student. Yup, I'm heading back for another Masters degree! So I'll be busy, but try to post regularly, at least my art!

First of all, Happy Birthday Mom! I figured let me show off my favorite mani of 2020 (lol there hasn't been many) since it's her birthday! What's more celebratory than gold?! I had been itching to do a mani with silver foil, but then I picked pink as my base and felt gold was a better color! Also, you're looking at a mani I wore for 9 days!

Jessica Phenom Holiday/Winter Trio

I shared the Jessica Cosmetics Holiday trio earlier this week and now I have the Phenom trio! I like that they released two smaller trios this year, as sometimes the 12-piece collections overwhelm me. These trios always feel really curated to me and the few colors make them super special. And don't forget about the Phenom system, which can last up to 11 days (and I have gotten nine before I had to swatch polishes and take off my mani. LOL)

Since I loved Jessica Cosmetics Tis the Season To Be Freezin', I knew I wanted to do some coordinating nail art with the winter vibes. I love the winter images on this stamping plate from Born Pretty. I seem to gravitate toward winter images, since I get more use out of them over Christmas plates (but I still love both!)

As I mentioned last week, I'm finally getting through my Born Pretty backlog of items. I actually only received 3 items last round because they "sold out" of 3 of the items. Then 2 of the 3 of the items they sent weren't even available on their site! So that's why I've taken my time. This is the one item that IS available, and it's more of an autumn/spring item, but I think I've winter-ized it a bit!
