Zoya Calm for Spring 2020, Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Cheers to a new week. Let's hope your week is calm, just like the Zoya Calm collection. I really wanted to chop my nails off. They are split and rough and this weather just destroyed them. I attempted to do swatches before chopping them off, but nails were such a mess, I'm not sure I swatched successfully LOL. But anyway, you'll still want to check these out!

Zoya AJ: 2 coats. A subtle, sparkling blush with a gorgeous copper micro-shimmer. I think the shimmer in this is really cool. It's like a dusty fleck. But the color is a bit clashy with my skin tone. I hope they do more colors in this finish.

Zoya Colleen: 3 coats. Delicate pink cream with a warm undertone. It reminds me of Steph from the Twinkling Collection. I bet swatching them side by side would show them to be almost dupes. It's a pretty color, but nothing new from Zoya. It's a nice transitional color from winter to spring.

Zoya Emerson: 3 coats. A modern baby blue cream. It's a pretty color, but again, reminds me of other Zoyas, such as Blu from the Bridal Bliss collection. This one has the slightest more grey in it. It's almost a neon pastel blue, but not. It's another great transitional color, which is this entire collection.

Zoya Laura: 3 coats. A soft pink toned ivory cream. This is pulling more beige on me and again, doesn't quite jive with my skin tone. Yet, I still think it's refreshing.

Zoya Lief: 2 coats. Gentle and harmonious light sage green cream. This is an odd color. I thought I would love it, but it sort of has this grey component to it that just sort of falls flat on my nails. I'll definitely use it for art though, since it is a unique color.

Zoya Vee: 2 coats. A muted French lilac cream. This is probably my favorite of the collection. I definitely see this perfectly matching French lavender fields. It's a gorgeous creme.
