Girly Bits July CotM, Dime and Dash & I've Got My Ion You |
Dime and Dash: 2 coats. Pam describes this as a holo glitter bomb, and that is so accurate. I happen to love holo glitter bombs, especially ones with color shifting glitter! This is a silver based polish, with a variety of blue and teal glitters. My favorite part is the iridescent shifting glitters. They make this super gorgeous.

Ahhhh, I love this in the sun. Sparkle overload.

The beauty of iridescent glitter is that it does sparkle in the sun, but then it offers this beautiful spectrum of rainbow colors in the shade. I think the additional of the iridescent glitters is what really sets this apart.

I've Got My Ion You: 3 coats. This is a deep green magnetic polish with golden green aurora shimmer and a pink/red magnetic shift. I have to say this is one of the coolest magnetics I've seen. If you haven't used a magnetic polish, you first do a coat of polish normally. Then, one nail at a time, do a second coat and hold the magnet to the polish for 10 seconds. The polish must be wet for the magnetic finish to work.
I found with the second coat, my magnet separated the polish too much, so it looked like a bald spot. So I did a third coat with a magnet. On my index and ring, I used a cat eye magnet. On my middle and pinky, I used a bar magnet.

I feel like shade shots really show off the magnetic effect better. As you look through the photos, you'll see the very strong green aurora shift. When coupled with the pink magnetic shift, I feel like this looks like aurora borealis. I'm wishing I had stamped over this now, but I'm making a mental note to do so soon!

My ring finger really is mesmerizing. I am posting a video of this on Instagram, so you can see the funky shift!

I’m fairly burnt out on magnetics, but the holo glitter polish is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been brave enough to use a magnetic but Ion would bring me to that point.
ReplyDeleteI've Got My Ion You is so pretty! I kind of need it for the name alone, but a pretty polish is even better, lol!
ReplyDeleteI've Got My Ion You is so unique. I like it a lot

ReplyDeleteDang it Michelle. Now I need I've Got My Ion You.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t done magnetic polishes in forever. This is amazing!
ReplyDeleteA bald spot! Not cool! I have yet to play with any magnetic polishes since the CG ones way back when! LOL! They new ones from all of the Indies look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought a magnetic yet but this one is pretty freaking amazing. I didn't realize how far they've come with the shifting properties!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these polishes are gorgeous but I think Dime and Dash is my favorite. The color is just fantastic and I don't know if I'm doing it wrong but magnetic polishes don't turn out as amazing on me as they do for everyone else.
