If you're into nail art and stamping, you've definitely seen these silicone mats to practice on. What's great is that they have nails on them and are easily cleaned with nail polish remover. Born Pretty has a bunch of these mats, and now in a variety of sizes. Today I'm sharing a mini mat, and what's cool is that it has black areas to see what shows up and what doesn't!

The mat arrives in a container so you can roll it up whenever you want and take it on the go.

It also comes in a plastic protective wrapper, so it's definitely new.

The underside of the mat is a different texture. It's shinier and the texture allows it to adhere to the surface. It doesn't adhere permanently obviously, but it's a nice sturdy positioning so the mat doesn't move around while you're using it.

So this is 21 centimeters by 15 centimeters, which is roughly 9 inches by 6 inches, so this is very compact. It's about 1/4 the size of the normal sized mat. It's perfect for travel, or if you don't have a huge space to do your nails but still want a protective surface and a place to practice art.

Here I am practicing some stamping with some pastel colors. This is great to see how the pastel might work over a lighter color and how it would look over a darker color. It will definitely help me prevent nail art fails.

So as you can see, over the frosted mat, some of the colors are really hard to see. Over white though, and these would pop! None of these are stamping polishes, so I'm impressed!

Now over the dark. Obviously the silver works great. Most of the pastels actually worked, except the pink. So this was super helpful because I wouldn't waste my time stamping the pink (second from the top) over a dark color.

Then, when I was done, I took a cotton ball with some acetone, and ta dah! All clean and no damage to the mat!

I like the option of having a smaller and portable mat. This one is a new quality and I don't really see the difference between this mats and other mats.
