Hello December! I've got a head filled with festive manicures and nail art. I hope I have enough time to do them all! NYC hasn't really seen snow yet. For like five minutes before Thanksgiving, we had snow, but nothing stuck. To kick off the Winter Nail Art Challenge, we are doing a snow theme! I recently received part of the new Sunset Strip Holiday collection from Orly and figured this was the perfect time to show off the colors. Don't worry, you'll see swatches soon!
Orly Sunset Strip Holiday 2016 Snowflakes Nail Art |
I began with two coats of Up All Night, a metallic grey silver. Then with a striping brush, I painted on abstract snowflakes using The Who's Who, a cobalt blue creme. Lastly, I added dots with Last Call, a neon metallic pink shimmer. It might seem different, but snowflakes are super reflective and I can see shimmers of colors when they bounce off the sunlight.
I have it both with top coat and with matte top coat. Of course, I'm more partial to the matte version!
