Jessica Cosmetics Phenom Colors: Winter 2015 Swatches and Review

Press Sample

The weather is starting to dip and cold days are upon us in the Northeast, so I have Jessica Cosmetics new Phenom colors for Winter 2015. Phenom is a gel-like polish that is cured by natural sunlight and can last up to 10 days. So let's take a look at these awesome new colors.

Jessica Cosmetics Phenom Colors: Winter 2015

Let me just say that there is NO top coat with this polishes! You will want to use the Phenom top coat to make sure you get the longest possible wear with the Phenom polishes, but I am so impressed with the quality without it. They are leveled out perfectly and the shine on these polishes are insane. They look like gel polishes without any special touches!

Phenom colors are gel-like and you can achieve the 10 day wear in three steps. The polish cures in natural sunlight! It removes like any normal polish.

2. Vivid Color (Phenom)
3. Finale Shine.

Downtown Chic: 2 coats. This is my perfect dove grey. The formula is like butter and applies so smoothly and easily. Just look at it! Totally perfect!

Crown Jewel: 3 coats. This one has more of a jelly quality. Because of that, my longer nails needed 3 coats but you can probably get away with 2 if you have shorter nails. It's a deep red color but the jelly quality lightens up the polish and makes it more wearable for me.

Decadent: 1-2 coats. THIS. COLOR. IS. EVERYTHING. There is absolutely no color correcting on this photo (or any) but I had to mention that because of how amazing it is. You can see in the group photo how vibrant it is and it remained so on my nails. It's opaque in one coat too! But I added two out of habit. It truly is a decadent, rich cobalt blue. This is an all year color for me. It's just amazing. No staining upon removal.

Exquisite: 2 coats. This is another creme polish. Exquisite is a deep plum purple, which definitely sets the winter tone.

First Class: 2 coats. While this appears almost black on my skin tone, it is actually a very deep purple. Obviously, it pulls much darker on me, but it's definitely more purple in person. As blackened purple as you can get!

In case you felt Crown Jewel, Exquisite, and First Class looked similar, you can see very clearly how much they differ!

Embellished: 2 coats. Jessica really has the creme category covered; they do cremes so well. I was excited to see a shimmer in this collection and it's really beautiful. It's like the base color of Crown Jewel and Exquisite together with a shifting shimmer in it. The shimmer shifts from red to pink to orange and gold. It's very classy and beautiful. I can't wait to see more shimmers from Jessica!
