I got this gorgeous necklace from a museum in St. Louis, and it really is a favorite!

Monday was the first day of classes! I always try to have a seamless first day but it was super hot and turns out the bookstore didn't get my books in yet and didn't tell me until AFTER class. So of course, I had panicked students because they couldn't get the book in time for their first reading. It's always something! But it's no one's fault. I decided to do some fun back to school nails and I had this awesome set of China Glaze neons with nail art studs whispering at me, so I obliged.

I actually had gone into that store about a month before (I stumbled passed it while meeting a friend!) so I went in and grabbed their exclusive set including Martinique, Carpe Diem, and Rococo. Well, I decided to be cheesy and do the accompanied nail art with the set for the sample sale because why not?!

Tips and Sips was a private event hosted by Katie Carzola of The Painted Nail. Unlike other Cosmoprof events, this event focused on NAILS! While I loved seeing makeup and hair products, in the end, I'm all about the nails. This was a much more intimate event where we got to talk directly to companies without the hustle and bustle of thousands of other people.
