Mini Mani Moo Mess No More Review

Press Sample

Tonight, I am showing you Mini Mani Moo, a latex barrier to help with clean up when you do messy manicures (either just starting out painting your nails or doing nail art like stamping or gradients). This was actually the first latex barrier I tried, so let's see how it is!

Mini Mani Moo comes in a small tube, like a lip gloss, and it's applicator is also like a lip gloss. I think they call it a doe foot applicator. It's sort of spongey and easy to use.

You remove the applicator and then draw a line around your cuticle and below to cover any potential space that might get polish on it. As you can see, while the bottle is pink, it dries almost clear on my skin. I did have to apply Mini Mani Moo twice so I would be able to see it. The latex smells like latex but then has sort of a coconut scent. The scent didn't bother me at all.

Here's another show of how Mini Mani Moo looks dried. I'm not sure if it's Northeast humidity, but I did have some clumps come out of my bottle as you can see on my thumb.

I then dabbed a bunch of polish colors on a sponge and sponged my nails; I made a mess! Well mess, no more. I poked around with an orange stick since it was a little difficult to see the latex barrier. Once found, you begin to peel. For me, it wasn't one even peel but came off in pieces.

Here's my manicure once I removed all the latex barrier and no clean up. Pretty good! As you can see, you want to get as close to your cuticle as possible, but clean up will definitely be easier than without the latex!

As my first type of latex barrier, I found this a little difficult to use only because the latex did not want to pull up in one nice peel. Also, it was difficult to find the latex on my skin because as it dried, it was harder to see and my gradient completely covered any tinge of pink the latex may have left.  Applying the latex was easy and it did help my manicure clean-up, which is the point of the product! I think next time I will apply the product thicker or multiple times. I look forward to giving this another try since this was my first experience!

Mini Mani Moo can be found here and retails for $9.90. Their site also has nail art brushes, tattoos, and tons of other stuff! Check them out on Facebook to stay up to date with their products.

  1. I have since tried other barriers, and I have to agree it was easier because the formula was thicker and it came off with one peel. I have to wonder if humidity played a factor with this specific brand as the formula was thinner and the clumps made it difficult to use. And since it was my first time using this, it could have been my fault. I definitely have to give it another try. Thank you for appreciating my review!
