Hey!!! The minute I saw this collection I knew that I would be obsessed. I absolutely love KBShimmer neons and her pastel neon collections are forever my favorites. So yes, I am a bit delayed in posting these, but I shared my blogiversary mani with the collection and have been wearing them!
Playing Heart to Get is a lightly faded neon pink crème nail polish with coral undertones. The hint of orange adds warmth to the neon pink, pairing beautifully with summer tans. Apply two to three coats for full coverage, and finish with a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top for maximum shine. This shade is blacklight-reactive.
Playing Heart to Get: 3 coats plus top coat. You could honestly get away with two coats with this polish, but I did three for photographs. This is a super pink neon that I almost wore to my vacation to Jamaica, but opted for an older pastel neon from KB. The color is bright and fun and I will probably repeat myself when I say that it is an excellent pedicure color. If you know me at all, you know that I only like to wear creams on my toes and so I always opt for neon colors.
So I didn’t realize how hard it would be to take black light pictures when you have to hold the black light lol. This is why they sort of looked blurry and a little crazy and well I just wanted to show you the overall gist of what this looks like with black light. I actually posted my blog anniversary nails under black light when I was at a Broadway show, and it included all the colors from this collection. So check it out at the link.
Smack Talking is a sun-worn neon coral crème nail polish with pink undertones. This versatile shade flatters various skin tones, giving a soft, sun-kissed look. Apply two to three coats for full coverage, followed by a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top for the ultimate shine. This shade is blacklight-reactive.
Smack Talking: 3 coats plus top coat. I knew this one would be my favorite of the collection because that orangey coral undertone makes it incredibly wearable for me. In fact, I put this color on again after I finished swatching the collection. I did three coats for photographs, but like many of the colors in this collection, two is definitely fine for in person.
I stopped doing black light photos after this LOL. Head to my post I linked to see them all under blacklight!
Push Your Luck is a bleached orange-yellow crème nail polish that captures the essence of summer. Its citrusy, blacklight-reactive shade is perfect for a bold pedicure. Achieve full coverage with two to three coats, finishing with a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top for a glossy finish.
Push Your Luck: 3 coats plus top coat. Not that KB shimmer ever intentionally dupes themselves, but I really wanted this to be like Leggo My Mango or Papaya Don’t Preach, two pastel neon oranges that are sadly discontinued and I have less than half of a bottle left of those. This one is much more creamsicle orange. This one is also black light reactive, but I was honestly struggling to get pictures in the first two so I figured you’d believe me when I said that they glow under black light for whenever you happen to be in black light lol. I did go to a club in Jamaica they did have black lights so there you go, you never know.
Juice The Cutest is a faded neon yellow crème nail polish with a hint of chartreuse undertones. This more crelly (cream-jelly) formula of the Vol. 2 collection may require three thin coats for full coverage, but some may find two sufficient. Finish with Clearly On Top for a shiny look.
Juice The Cutest: 3 coats plus top coat. This one definitely needs three coats to level out which is expected for neon yellows. Again this one definitely is black light reflective, but I was tired of juggling how to take pictures so give me some ideas that doesn’t include a tripod which I don’t have lol. This color is a little patchy here which I expected, but completely needed in the collection as it rounds out the colors. It will add a pop of brightness to nail art that I plan to do soon. It looks very close to Let’s Bounce so I’ll have to compare that later.
Love Bytes is a faded neon lime green crème nail polish, inspired by the nostalgic 8-bit glow. Two to three coats deliver full coverage. For a glossy finish, use a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top. This shade is blacklight-reactive.
Love Bytes: 3 coats plus top coat. This one also definitely needed three coats to level out, but that is expected for a light neon green. I will have to compare this to Race Against Slime to see how they look because they look so close in the bottle. While I absolutely love neon green, I actually never wear them on my nails, but love to do nail art with them. I can’t wait to do something funky during Halloween.
Track Record is a sun-bleached periwinkle crème nail polish. This near-neon hue glows purple under blacklight, adding a playful twist. Achieve full coverage with two coats and follow with a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top for the best results.
Track Record: 2 coats plus top coat. This is not a typical neon, but I absolutely love what it adds to this collection. You still want to add topcoat for shine, but it does not dry down as matte as the other colors. This is totally a year round color and it’s really calming. Love it!
Book It is a cool-toned, sun-washed purple crème nail polish. Apply two coats for full coverage and top it off with a quick-dry topcoat like Clearly On Top for a high-shine finish.
Book It: 2 coats plus top coat. Even though I do not love purple nail polish, I really love the color of this one. It’s probably that neon color that makes it so pretty and wearable. Just a really great addition to this collection. So pretty.
Crimp My Style is a bleached neon orchid purple crème nail polish. This creamy, blacklight-reflective shade provides full coverage with two coats.
Crimp My Style: 2 coats plus top coat. This last color is like a purple and a pink and rounds out the collection. It really does remind me of an older color called Bored Shorts, so I will have to compare that later, but I think this one is a tad darker. Great formula and another great pedicure color.
Ex-Static: is a white glitter topper that perfectly complements our faded neon crèmes, creating a fun manicure with retro vibes. The blend of white shred, dot, mini star, square, and hex glitters mimics a static-like effect. Apply one coat, then finish with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glassy look.
Ex-Static: I do love how this polish looks, but I will say that the base is so thin that it ends up bubbling and clumping so you have to be really careful when your polishing because you will see that I indeed have bubbles. That being said, I will continue to use this polish because I love it. I’ve worn it already for my blog anniversary and I love it. It is just a simple matte white glitter. I don’t need sparkle every time. Because it is white, it looks nice over any color.
So there you have it! I know I am late to post, but all of these colors are currently available. Yesterday, my car said 108 degrees, which is totally disgusting, so it's still hot neon summer!

I love the neons by KB. They are the best. I have a long wish list of polish and I want many of these. Smack Talking is my fav. Great summer color.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and thank you for the amazing and color accurate photos. I really appreciate the work you put into your swatches. 💜

These are my favorite collections from KB. I know I am simple. Smack Talking is one of my favorites (and come back for comparisons). Neons can be annoying so I feel I got as close as possible. I decided against sun pictures because it wasn't as accurate. I hope you are able to get some polish soon!
