End of Summer Dry Brush Nail Art

 Press Sample

Oh hello! This is most definitely my final summery nail art, as the nails I am wearing have shifted into fall, despite it being second summer right now. I had a student event today, and I swear, every year it’s like on the hottest day oh September. After sitting in the brutal sun for an hour, in work clothes, I went back to my office haha. So anyway, I did these a few weeks ago so I figured I would share them.

lol don’t laugh at the inspiration of this manicure. My mom loved Below Deck during the Kate years. She told me about this show and I just never got into it. Well, covid happened and I started watching it. I haven’t seen all the seasons, but am working through the OG seasons. I was watching the newest season of Med, and the bosun had this ridiculous shirt on that I absolutely love so it went on my nails.

This is a typical dry brush. I put a base of white and then used the dry brush technique. I tend to you darker colors first and layer lighter ones towards the end. Then I added my dots!

Since I have not put my summer Zoyas away yet (sigh). I still log all my kept polishes in a spreadsheet. I like to keep track!

  • Red: Zoya Alora
  • Orange: Zoya Bodhi
  • Yellow: Zoya Taji
  • Pink: Zoya Maddy
  • Purple: Zoya Paisley
  • Bright blue: Stella Chroma Grab the Wheel
  • Dark blue: Jessica Cosmetics Morning Glory

I love these colors together. But it might be time to retire the neons besides Halloween-themed neons. But you hope you enjoy this!

    1. Thank you! I find my time is valuable...well my sleep is. I don't have too often to sit and do nail art for 1.5 hours. But I still love nail art. So dry brush it is!
