Halloween Nail Art: Classic Black and Orange Glitter Gradient

 Press Sample

I feel like every year, I have to do some kind of black and orange gradient. It's just classic!  It also gives me an excuse to use my favorite Halloween glitters all at once. I cannot do a full glitter manicure anymore. The removal makes me cry? But a gradient? Yes, please!

So for Day 9 of 13 Days of Halloween, I wanted that classic look. There is not too much to say about this. I do love the mix of glitters and the different shapes. There's a moon, stars, squares, hexagons, circles, flecks. There are all different sizes. It's just a fun explosion of glitter. And because it is just the tips, the removal is way easier!

What's also great about this manicure is that it does not contain many colors. It's just black and orange and all my favorite glitters!

  • Base: Jessica Cosmetics Sahara Sun, 3 coats
  • Black: Stella Chroma New Moon, sponged on
  • Glitters: Red Dog Designs Spellbound-ed, Red Dog Designs The Haunting Hour, China Glaze Glitter Goblin

I did wear this shiny for a few days. It was awesome in person but difficult to photograph because of all that holo sparkle. I love it both ways, but it is easier to see the shapes and such of the glitters when it is matte!

    1. Hahaha I would love to! Luckily, this isn't that difficult! Just dab with a makeup sponge. I love the SC black because it is not so intense like other blacks and makes the gradient so much easier!

  2. It's not easy to create a gradient manicure with two nail polishes that are so different, and you've done an excellet job! :-)

    1. Gradients are not forgiving, haha. That's why I love to add glitter or a shimmer top coat over them! Thanks so much.
