Glitter Star Nail Art

Partial Press Sample

Hi all! I know I have been fairly quiet on the blog front lately. It is definitely a combination of broken nails, freezing cold weather, and a lack of motivation to get stuff up on the blog. For example, the manicure in this post was the one I wanted to do for new years. I just love the colors and then when I did it, I hated it. I was not sure whether to bother posting, but you know what, here it is! I actually got a lot of compliments in person so I consider this a Monet (better from afar!).

So as I mentioned, I initially wanted to do this for New Years Eve, but I was sick. Apparently, I cannot draw stars at all. Wow, this was tough and I don't know why. LOL. I wanted a neutral and soft base so that all the metallics would pop. I used a gold, rose gold, and copper color palette.

I used a variety of shades of metallics in different finishes. I looove the combo and I totally need to think of a new art to use them in!

  • Base: Morgan Taylor All American Beauty
  • Copper: OPI Pros and Bronze
  • Darker Gold: OPI Goldeneye
  • Soft Rose Gold: KBShimmer Isle Drink to That
  • Bright Yellow Gold: Stella Chroma Long Term Parking
  • Pink Rose Golder: Stella Chroma Crown of Roses

So even though my stars are not perfect, I do love the colors together and like I said, from afar, this was super pretty. You could not see my awful stars 😂.

I just loooove these colors together. I want to think of another way to use them in fun art! What do you think about metallics?
