Happy Monday everyone. I am so sad spooky season is over. Can I pretend it isn't?! Since I have been posting nail art for literally two weeks straight, I am now going to bombard the blog with loads of swatching. I am starting with November Polish Pickup, since these are limited offerings that you can grab this Friday 11/5!
Peppermint Hand & Body Sugar Scrub
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: "Pure peppermint
essential oil scents this creamy sugar base swirled with streaks of pink
for a minty winter treat for your skin. Peppermint essential oil has a
tingly, cooling effect to refresh and pamper tired legs and feet. We
don’t recommend using peppermint scrub on any sensitive bits, as the
cooling effect can be intense. Featuring a heat-sealed lid for no leaks
in transit, this naturally scented scrub would make a perfect holiday
gift!"
Thoughts: This smells just as it sounds! So refreshing and I feel like it will cleanse my nostrils if I am feeling a little stuffy in the cold winter months. I love the coloring on this one because it is so festive. Definitely a fresh and yummy scent!
Kbshimmer That’s Taboo: 2 coats is fine but did a third for depth
Cost & Cap: $11, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: One game night favorite
was that classically ’90s-colored game bright with hues of teal, purple
and pink. Laughter ensued as we all tried to get teammates to guess our
word, all while avoiding that taboo list! That’s Taboo nail
polish by KBShimmer features those classic ’90s colors seen in both the
game and in fashion. A totally teal base is loaded with holo glow flakes
for a silvery holo flash in the sun that accents a rad fuchsia
shimmer. The teal color deepens indoors and in indirect lighting,
allowing the color-shifting shimmer to shine and shift into shades of
lavender and rose pink. A glimmer of peachy gold or a pop of yellow can
be seen at some angles.
Thoughts: Love this! It may not scream winter, but I am just ready to stamp some pure white snowflakes over it! I especially love the pink shimmer in it and how it shifts. So pretty!
Cotton Candy Emulsified Sugar Scrub
Cost & Cap: $6.50 for 2.5 oz jar, no cap
Scent: Our scrubby
concoction has the sweet scent of cotton Candy this month! Reminiscent
of the pink and blue spun sugar that turned our faces and fingers into
sticky messes as kids.
Thoughts: Yessss. I weirdly hate bubble gum but love cotton candy and I could not wait to crack this open. Perfectly sweet and reminiscent of the good stuff. THANK YOU!
Don’t Break the Ice: 3 coats plus top coat. Two coats had the tiniest bit of visible nail line. Then matte.
Cost & Cap: $13 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Don’t Break The Ice: Actually, break the ice. Just don’t the little man fall! Inspired by one of the few games my brother and I could play as kids and not end up in a fight. Don’t Break The Ice is a smooth white crelly with banging iridescent red/blue flakies and green shimmer.
Thoughts: I have a thang for white nail polish.This one has that awesome green shimmer and I swear, the shifting flakes are so much more evident in person. Do yourself a favor and grab this. It will be awesome year round.
Both these polishes scream winter to me and I cannot wait to whip them back out!
