Pusheen Calendar Series: Getting Fit!

Pusheen is BACK. Pusheen had a bit of a face lift with the calendar. The designers went with a more streamlined look revising the font and letters to be more "adult." Before it was more rounded and playful. It is a little serious now LOL. But anyway, I received the calendar as a gift from my darling and I thought, as long as I am still blogging, I can commit to one Pusheen a month. January has indeed been a slow month for me, as I had a major nail break which just left me uninspired, so I'm happy to be back with some art. 

Here is January's image. You can see what I mean to the more composed adult-like font. Pusheen is hula hooping. I tried to hula hoop with my niece's hoop and wow, I am not coordinated enough for it. I prefer skip it--do you remember those? LOL!

I wanted to pull from the yellow background for my nails. I love pastels so Pusheen gives me an excuse to wear them year round. I did Pusheen hula hooping on my middle nail and then took the hula hoop colors to create stripes on my outer nails. I really dig how it came out!

• Greys: Girly Bits Greyzed and Confused and Hit and Mist
• White: Stella Chroma High Noon

 

I applaud Pusheen for doing some activity, because you know most of the images are adorable and food-based. I am so happy with how this came out!
