November Polish Pickup Offerings: Red Carpet

 Press Sample

Hello all! I am in my final 3 weeks of the semester and while I feel like I might not be drowning, I totally am. So hopefully I can find a nice balance of posting my swatches and nail art while also not crying in a corner because I am on Zoom alll day and on my computer allll day. But of course, Polish Pickup comes back this Friday, so I needed to show you these! The theme is Red Carpet. Sure! Why not?!

Cuticle Oil Duo: Dressed for Success and At the Movies
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: Hot Buttered Popcorn: Just as it sounds. Dressed to Impress: White carnation, sandalwood, blood orange, smoky wood, black rose and patchouli mingle with notes of toasted vanilla, amber, vetiver and a kiss of Egyptian musk.
Thoughts: The oil feels really nice but the scents are definitely specific. The popcorn is movie theatre popcorn and the Dressed to Impress is a nice wintry perfume.

Pewter Perfect: 3 coats plus top coat.
Cost & Cap: $9.50, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Antique silver base with grey microflakes.
Thoughts: This is a lovely winter polish. The antique silver reminds me of gunmetal and it is really pretty. I added a third coat for depth and then top coat to make it all shine.

KBShimmer

Name: Sparkling Champagne Scrub
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: Sparkling Champagne Hand & Body Scrub is inspired by the golden, bubbly drink we love to sip at celebrations. Soft and fresh, this scrub features light notes of fresh apricot, a hint of brandy, and subtle notes of flowers and pink berries, all ready to tickle your nose.  Off-white in color with gold swirls throughout, this sparkling scrub is perfect to add a bit of cheer to your pampering routine.
Thoughts: I love this scent. It is just how it sounds. It's a little bit fruity with a balance of champagne and I love this as a year-round scent.

In the Mood: 3 coats plus top coat, then matte. 2 was almost enough.
Cost & Cap: $10, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: My inspiration dress was designed by a judge from a foreign Project Runway, but with its dramatic black bodice fading into hues of lavender, coral, deep purples, and pinks, I knew this was the one! In The Mood is a thermal polish that features a deep black base that shows off hues of lavender and purple when warm.  A mix of gleaming flakes shows off shades of indigo, fuchsia, peach, and coral, while a shifty shimmer sparkles with hints of pink and
purple.
Thoughts: This is so gorgeous and I love a thermal that transitions super easily. I had zero issues with the color changing, and did not have to manipulate with hot or cold water. As I went outside, the black base really shows up. Of course, this is stunning matte!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer

Let Me Hold It Lightly: 3 coats plus top coat.
Cost & Cap: $13, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Florence Welch's dress for the 2019 Met Gala. A seafoam green jelly filled with lavender shimmer and purple/green/blue shifting iridescent flakes. The name is from the song "100 Years."
Thoughts: I cannot wait to whip this color back out in December for the most stunning winter mani. It's light and airy and stunning. I love how soft and delicate this color is. It almost looks like a glacier with ice floating around it.

Stella Chroma

Name: Red Carpet Ready Emulsified Sugar Scrub
Cost & Cap: $6.50 for 2.5 oz jar, no cap
Scent: This month our sugar scrub is inspired by the closest we’ve ever gotten to the red carpet... prom! And EVERY girl went to our prom smelling of B&BW Black Raspberry Vanilla. And you can as well!
Thoughts:  True life, I totally re-bought this scent as the semi-annual sale this past summer and it was such a blast from the past. This scent is exact and it is awesome!

My So-Called CIA Operative: 2 coats plus top coat.
Cost & Cap: $13 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: We loved Claire Danes as Angela Chase and we loved her as Carrie Matheson. So, when we saw a pic of her in a sparkly nude stunner of a dress in PPU BST/Chat, we knew it needed to be made into a polish. The base is a sheer nude to let those flakies shine through. And flakies? We've got all sorts in there. Silver, gold, holographic, orange/red/yellow shifting iridescent. This polish applies like a dream thanks to our new paddle brush, and you'll get the biggest bang for your buck using 2-3 thin coats.
Thoughts: If you know this blog, you know I love sparkly neutrals. This will be back on my nails with some festive stamping. The formula is amazing at two coats. I love the iridescent flakes. I love it all.

I truly love each polish in this post. Red Carpet really brought out the best in these makers. You will want them all!

These polishes and both & body products will be available November 6-9 in the Polish Pickup shop. Shipping is flat rate $3 in the US and $5 to Canada.
